@Robkc so the white 80 series belonging to land cruiser phil has the basic bumper ?
That is my understanding.

Page 1 of that thread shows a lot of pics of the assembly process where you can see the wing end angles. In post 18 of that thread it shows all of the components of the basic bumper package.

I'm interested in the front bumper, although I'm having a tough time getting firm prices. I'd likely order the bumper welded unless someone knows of someone who would weld it locally for a fair price. I have Luke's rear and can vouch that its a quality unit.

Rob Ridgeway would be your man.

I just left Luke a voicemail to get some weights and dimensions so I can figure some shipping costs. Will post as soon as I talk to him.

That's a good buy. Only shortcoming is backing out a bolt and getting the wrench trapped on the bolt between immovable objects. Drrrrr! That's when I added reversible set to the tool box. The flex head sets are handy too.

Save your coins, when the holidays roll around those will be on sale plus an additional 16 wrenches for the same price. I know because I kept looking at them at the local Sears. They also run the flex heads in a 7 piece set for less than $40.

I just emailed Luke at 4x4 labs for some shipping dimensions and weights as he hasn't called me back yet.

ok, make it simple....

Basic rear bumper $421

Single swing out rear $761

Rear bumper kit with dual swingouts, nothing else $846

REAR BUMPER KIT:dual swing out with tire holder, gas can basket and ladder, $1275

Front Bumper: $750 raw, no powdercoating.

Shipping is the question we are working on..

Got a pretty good estimate. Luke uses 72L x 32W pallets and said he should be able to get all of our stuff on one pallet (height would depend on how many items). Off the top of his head he thought about $350 for shipping all of the orders on one pallet, which sounded pretty good to me coming from Northern California. He said he could get an exact quote once we had the complete order details.

But I ran it anyway, and at my cost, it looks like I could get us closer to $200 all in. And that would be estimating about 1000-1200 pounds on 1 pallet with 4 rear bumper kits with duals and options.

And $200 split even only a couple of ways is looking pretty good to me.

I still have to run some numbers tonight and see if I can "make sense" of spending the cash from our savings, so I should have a definite answer on my part by tomorrow. But regardless, I'll be happy to take on the shipping task.

Who's in?

Actually here's more of an exact breakdown on my end for shipping:

600 lbs total: $160
1000 lbs total: $200
1200 lbs. total: $240

Just want to be as transparent as possible.

Here's the breakdown of some weights from Luke in his email to me:

"Weights are estimated, within 5 lbs I'd say with packaging and such.
Single swing w/ tire - 200
Double swing with tire, 2-3 can - 225
Basic rear- 125
Front - 80
Welded or kit doesn't really change much.
Cool, looking forward to this GB. Lots of new rigs with my bumpers.
thanks again for putting this together on your end.
-luke@4x4labs"

Let me get this right, assuming we have 4 local orders, we can get shipping to about $50 each, instead of about $200 - $300. So save 15% (about 150 for me) plus saving $200 on shipping.

I'm in for a rear bumper kit.

I'm thinking very seriously I should be in too for rear bumper with dual swing outs, tire carrier, and gas can basket...hard to walk away from the savings in both product and shipping. I'll have a for sure tomorrow...

Okay, I'm in for the rear dual swing out with gas can basket and tire carrier. Anyone know where we can see all of the options put together? The website doesn't have much.

Found all the pics I needed by searching google images...very cool.

At the 3 of us so far, Luke estimates the weight at 550 lbs. I'd add 50 to that for pallet and packaging, so 600 lbs.

Wed be looking at $160, or $53.34 a piece (I'm keeping the extra 2 cents as commission...).

Once Luke confirms all of our orders are ready to rock. I'd probably just go ahead and pay for the shipping and get them rolling. Then we'd just have to go out and pickup from YRC's terminal once the pallet arrives (estimated 4 business day transit).

Obviously more people are welcome to jump on this as well!

I can pick it up at the terminal.

Sammy? Jack? Poop or get off the pot!

Here is my theory. We are looking at summer vacation and Boost needs this bumper for the trip, or the kids have to walk everywhere, as the back seat will have a tire sitting there.... so this purchase is really for the kids!
