I wish I could this time around. I'll have to wait until this summer.

Sammy? Jack? Poop or get off the pot!

I spent the better half of last night talking about this deal with my significant other andddddddddd it's probably best to get off the pot, unfortunately. I just can't justify it with all my expenses coming up :(. I've got a hard deadline to find a house by March 31st and get moved out. Plus, I will spending the spring baselining my 80.

I have been pretty depressed about this one all morning. You guys all get a fancy bumper and I get nada!

Plan is to French in some reverse lights like someone did here with tail lights.

I want to be able to hold the tire, a jack and gas cans. That is a lot of weight, so planned on doing double swing outs. Cons are... Kind of a pain to have double swing outs when you are doing the grocery run...

But then I saw this a while back.... smaller gas cans, but this may be the answer. I could split it into halves still.

Think I will get the dual swing outs and then by the time I get to building it, I will decide what way to go and have extra parts for the next build.

Don't worry Jack...I still don't have sliders!

But I'm thinking if I get some good welding experience in on this bumper kit, I might be up to making a set myself anyway.

Makes sense for only the $85 difference after discount.

Luke got back to me that for the kits he typically just takes full payment rather than a deposit. Said he's pretty sure he has all of the parts on the shelf and should be able to get everything together and out for shipping in about a week.

He said he could send separate paypal requests and invoices to each person's email as well, or take cc over the phone. His shop is closed on Saturday's but he's always on email, so I figured for payment made tomorrow, paypal might be easiest.

I'm good with sending him email addresses once everyone is confirmed if you guys want.

Malcolm, I will get you on the email chain that Mike and I have going.

k

@FZJ80 in KC how is this going to work out for invoicing ? Do you just want to shoot Luke an email with all of our orders he invoices separately but I pay you for the shipping ? I'm so excited about this bumper I can't even think straight.

10-4. He invoices us separately for our orders and we pay him each separately. But he'll consolidate all of our orders onto one pallet, I'll pay for the shipping, and you can pay me (or Kelly) when you collect the kit.

I'm interested in the front bumper, although I'm having a tough time getting firm prices. I'd likely order the bumper welded unless someone knows of someone who would weld it locally for a fair price. I have Luke's rear and can vouch that its a quality unit.

Was just wondering if you wanted to pull the trigger this go around?

We're pretty close to getting the orders over to Luke with the email addresses for each so he can send paypal requests. Then all can take advantage of the shipping discount by moving them all together.

Okay, I'm officially in for my welded, non-powder coated front bumper. I'll be updated socallove. Thanks for all of the work and help with getting shipping so reasonable. That's what got me over the hump. Also, I'll have a linex'd ARB Deluxe Winch bumper I'll be putting up for sale after I get my new one.

I'd be interested in that ARB depending on where your at on price and condition.

Good deal!

Either PM me your email address or post it here (whichever you prefer) and I'll include you on the email to Luke so he can send the paypal requests individually. I'll be curious to see that front bumper front Luke...love the clearance!

I plan to start a separate thread after I get my new bumper. In the meantime, I'd be happy to PM you pics. It's in fantastic shape. I had it sandblasted and linex'd with their UV protectant coating.

Sounds great looking forward to seeing some pics

What do you think guys, last call? I think everyone that expressed interest has confirmed yes or no. Any other takers?

I'll start adding up weights and get our shipping cost figured for the 4 of us so far.

Okay, cost estimates so far for shipping:

A lot will depend on how tall the pallet ends up being. Since one of the bumpers will be complete, it affects our shipping class, and therefore pricing a little.

Depending on pallet height once Luke has the order all ready here are the 3 estimates at what looks like about 680 lbs total (630 + 50 for pallet and packaging):

$174 total ($43.50 per person)
$215 total ($53.75 per person)
$253 total ($63.25 per person)

If I can get Luke to try to keep the pallet under about 24 inches tall we may be able to get that $174.

Hope this looks pretty good to everyone so far!

This looks awesome. I'm pumped.
