I like it with the exception of the quick connects. Facing up like that I see them getting filled with all kinds of crap causing leaks when used or even them seizing up. At least in a place other than So Cal.

Totally agree and plan is in the works already. I'm going to replace with Parker all stainless and their tethered caps to prevent just what you mentioned. I prefer straight up vs out of the bumper because when I'm working on the truck's engine bay I don't want to be bumping into the air fitting. This way everything is out of the way.

Agreed - can anyone make a salient argument as to why this is appropriate? I have always seen it as an unnecessary risk (theft, becoming a very fine missile in an accident, reducing visibility, etc).

I don't want worsen my already reduced visibility and during an accident I need to rely on the two bolts holding it down, which no other mechanical lock, to keep it from javelining in an accident.

Just throwing this out there, but a potential kit could include provisions/ hardware to mount a 2 gallon air tank behind the bumper.

Here's my quick connect (brass) with cap.

What I meant to say was that I completely agree with not mounting it there for exactly those reasons.

Which Parker SS QD's are you going to go w/& will they work for H2O? I need a hot/cold set for my offroad camping trailer I'm building & can't find what I'm looking for.

Well I have several of their catalogs here but I need to make some decisions if I go heavy truck or standard stuff. Then need to decide if I want to spend the extra coin and get the auto-shut off used for chemicals. I kinda think they are cool connectors but may be too stupid to use on my truck. I also don't live in this connector world so I've had a tough time understanding what best fits my application and then trying to narrow down my upgraded options. Its why I haven't completed my OBS mod. I hate redoing mods because I didn't know or think about something that I should have.

I hear ya'. I've looked @ a bunch but nothing quite what I want. I want ALL SS, QD, have colored covers on straps (red for hot, blue for cold), can be mounted into the side of my trailer skin, have ~20' hoses that attach easily to them & aren't an eyesore. The search continues I guess.

You mean all internals AND externals in SS? I'm pretty sure Parker makes them. The colored straps I think you need to get from another manufacturer.

Yes, internals & externals in SS. Read too many people complaining after just a year or 2 that the guts were rusted & trashed.

Well Parker makes 100% SS internals with brass inner and outer connector. I am nearly certain they also make a 100% SS internals and externals. I'll break out the books.

If you are concerned for strength, maybe a brace from the outer corner to the frame?
I was thinking that too. Then I thought, whoops--that gives a frontal impact the leverage to buckle the frame. Not on my to-do list.

After a few years of use it's time to start giving the bumper some needed attention. I've removed the OBA Manifold on the bumper because the cheap crap that was on there was just looking bad and the air fittings both stopped sealing. Replaced with new Parker fittings and some liquid filled gauges.

This time all the hardware in that area (NOCO plug, panel, opener) - screams the need for SS button-head cap screws.

Sorry, my 'script ran out yest, my O/Cd is raging ATM.
