Picked it up yesteday, doesn't look like it has ever been used so I think I got a real bargain. Can't wait to fit it and try it out. Even had the original case for the remote and the remote contacts show no wear at all so I don't think it has even been plugged in.

cool, give us some pics of the installation.
i noticed that the 3 mounting brackets are missing off the aluminum skid plate, you might want to get the seller to send those up...
cheers

Wayne.

No they're on there, just weren't when he took th pictures. Even the straps that hold the winch cover to the skid plate are in perfect condition although a bit dirty like the wiinch itself is, just needs a good clean and the skid plate needs a bit of work as there is a couple of dings in it.

Well I cleaned the Mud off the winch and mounting plate. It's an Aisin A1 1000 winch.

Anyone know the spec. I have been told 3000kg but can't find anything on the web about it.

Looks in good condition however the cables have been cut so I will need to re-cable it, could do with some advice as to what connects where - One large cable goes to the end housing , presume this is the earth, Another large cable goes to the solenoid box - presume it is the main battery plus a couple of other small cables - presume one of them must be used to switch on and off the solenoids for safety.

when i get my cruiser back from teh paintshop tomorrow i can check where everything runs...
i highly doubt it would be 6600 lb pull on a truck that size.
there was banter on the NZ list about the same winch rating, i think the concenses was it was a 9000 lb winch..
i wil check again and see what it was...
cheers

Well I got the winch fitted at last - not wired up yet but fitted, bumper relocated to the proper position etc. Looks good except there is now a big gap between the bumper and the body. Anyone else got a factory winch with this or is there a rubber filler or something that normally goes there?.

HDJ80 PTO Winch

I know a person who says he has an OEM PTO Winch from an HDJ80. Do you know the price of a thing like that? How much does it worth?? and the PTO itself, how much?

Thanks

Yeah that would be great, it's the two small wires from the second multi plug - the other multi plug goes to the remote socket.

The gap is between the bumper and the body, without a winch the gap is around 1/4 to 1/2 inch, with the bumper it now sits out about another 1 inch or maybe 1 1/2 inches. It's so that you can use the winch gear selector and plug in the remote. I am presuming like Tapage says that there would be a rubber filler that would take up the space. Not a big issue as I don't mind it that much, just pleased to have a winch on it.

i took a quick look and can not follow it anywhere so i tried the factory manual and it does not have the winch wiring in it....
one thing the key has to be on to operate the winch and i will suspect these 2 wires will have something to do with that...not a direct live...

What do you mean by "JDM spec"

Japan Domestic market or japan designated market.

where as unit that come to Canada are referred to as CDM

Canadian designated market.

They are all imports to Canada. But we are referring to units that were ment for either markets.

As in the importers here are bring to Canada the JDM cruisers.

Wayne,

A little late in posting, $1300 CAN!!!

If you ever need another remote for the OEM winch, I should be able to get you a couple of them with the cases and everything for what you have paid for one. ;)

Hopefully you won't have to though. ;)
