Hello all- You may remember me as the guy that found the first 200 series to need a new transmission under 120K miles (2013 LX with 113k). I say this tongue in cheek but it is certainly very rare and very well may be true.
Anyhow, after extensive searching I located a one owner 2010 LX with 150K miles that has had documented service records at Lexus from 5K-150K without missing a single service. The previous owner drove the car about 20K miles a year which leads me to believe they were most likely all highway. The PO traded it in for a new Audi and no Lexus records indicate ANY problems immediately prior to trade in.
The issues I am facing today are two-fold. Compared to my previous experience just a few weeks ago, these are minor (I hope) but I want to make sure this truck lasts me until at least 300K without major issues.
1) There is a surging humming/buzzing/whirring electrical motor-like noise somewhere in the front drivers seat area. It is present when all systems are off (AC/Heater/Seat Heater/Cooler/Radio) but it is present when the car is in accessory mode or with the engine actually on. I have taken videos of the noise and while it seems faint in the video, it's certainly audible in person. When seated, it sounds like it may be coming behind the gauge cluster or dash, but when I moved my head around, I think I have isolated it to underneath the driver's seat. Listen to the noise get louder when the camera moves to underneath the seat. The sound system works fine, as do the seat heaters, etc. Only warning light I have on dash is a tire one that says 'check tire system'.
2) When at a slow speed and the steering wheel turned, I hear a click and feel a pop in the steering wheel. It usually happens in reversing situations but is present when moving forward as well. I think it may be CV axles? I just had an inspection done before buying the car and all they noted was 4 leaking shocks. I had the selling dealership (Audi North Houston) replace the four shocks/struts before sending me the car. Could this be related to improper installation?
Other than these two issues, the truck feels NEW in the way it drives. It is much nicer than the 2013 I briefly had, and I am thrilled to be behind the wheel. I plan to order some new wheels and tires tomorrow, but definitely want to find out what's going on. I will attach the videos from my phone in a subsequent post.
Thanks MUDDERS!

same sound recorded from under drivers seat, note it gets louder:
