I really like the textured epoxy I have put on a few bumpers. I'll be using that on all my stuff.. Satin black.

Well, its confirmed... The 2-40s will become ONE!.. WE, YES WE, the :princess: and I will turn one of the 40s into an extended cab truck... With T-T armor of course..

The SpeedHut gauges have been ordered FINALLY!... I plan on fabricating until 2 each day and then swap over to Goss in the afternoons. Hopefully I will have him done in a few weeks.. My Wet Okole covers should be here soon. Door panels and speaker install to come as well.

I have been thinking about a center console... I may just buy a Tuffy and call it good, not sure in that yet..

OH MY GOD THATS AWESOME!!!!!! One of my "cruiser dreams" is to build an extended cab FJ45 short bed with a 1HZT.
Are you going to make a different thread in the 40 section?? Whens the build going to start!?
(Is your wife as good with a welder as you are?)

It'll go in the 40 section.. Yeah SHE IS PRETTY GOOD WITH ME!! HA! I hope to start in the next two weeks...

Just having the extra hands is nice.

I'm horribly tempted to bring my HJ60 to you so you can design a high clearance front bumper around the factory PTO winch! Great work and I love the Flaming Gorge area.

Johnny knows me all too well... He knew R&D on the 40s would turn into a full blown MONSTER! HA!... I thought about a 4 door, but I Want to stay AWAY from the HUMVEE LOOK...

Slower, bring it over, I'd love to work on it for you. Get it built, installed and then go fishing and run a few BLM trails... It is about to get really nice with the weather.. snow will be here soon..

There is a HJ61 in Mountain View for sale now. Diesel, auto and hi-top. 8K was just out of my budget currently.

I would jump on it for $8000.00 unless the rust is so out of control it is beyond repairing. These are only going up in price.

In thinking about the same, and I think the driveshaft has to go over the front crossmember to actually make some difference. Which either means a BL or a different rad to clear it.
That would mean super nice clearance ;p
 
Front bumper looks great dudE, and i can't wait to see the 40 project get started. That sounds kickass!

Yeah I'll start it as soon as Goss is mostly done and I can keep him outside more.. I plan on extending the frame between 12" and 18". Plan on a cab and a half. Mild 4" liift, 35s and not sure on the powerplant yet.. BUT more than likely my spare 2F (desmogged) and 4speed will be dropped in.. Depending on what needs rebuilt.. A 2F rebuild kit is around 800.00 for a full kit, I can almost drop in a 350 and TH400 for the same price...
