You just haven't driven enough. Those filters not filter out contaminants nearly as well as a paper filter. In addition, the surface area is not as large as the paper filter that came on the 4BT from the factory, meaning that they clog faster.

Only reason I'm running one is because I haven't saved up my pennies for a donaldson yet.

J, Do you have a part# for the Donaldson. Interested to see the specs.

J

@Mr Cimarron I believe has one in his truck. I don't remember the part number of the top of my head.

Here it is

You can zoom in on the part number. If you can't see I can post it later when I get home.

Filters aren't cheap. $20-$30 each. So far I've got about 7-8K on the current ones with the filter minder at about 3/4.

No, but it's worth it to have a properly sized, and very good, filter for the engine :grinpimp:

It's on my short list.

I think the style used in this build is about the same. This build was by Rob Bonney. Rob started working for me in 1990 when he was 14. Now he has his own shop. He was there when I started the Land Cruiser parts business in 90. His dad was actually the one that talked me into my first land cruiser when I was 18. His father, Hank, was a die hard cruiser fan..still owns two

That is awesome right there. UMP looks incredible. Looks like I found my new filter housing :D

It is nice. Eventually when I find/build an adequate snorkel I will have to widen my intake hole to something similar.

Nice build by Rob Bonney there, Dave. You taught him well!

Good work J!

Time to relax, you earned it!

Well done J.
Is that a one of a kind front bumper?

Finished up at Cruiserfest. Met some really awesome individuals and got to see some nice rigs.

I decided in very short order that these three guys could cause more trouble together than ... WELL A LOT ... HA! It was a pleasure to meet @cruiserdan and @woody. Two truly great people. Dan, tell the missus that Andrea thoroughly enjoyed their visit. I'll get to planning out the front 70 PTO as soon as time allows.

Got to hang out with @Mr Tibbs and his lovely bride again. Thanks again for letting me show off Stoffel and Toko to potential customers. Great to see you two again.

@eman375, thanks and hopr to see the UTE SOON! Good discussion on design.

Oh and a fellow cruiser-addict talked me out of Goss' rear bumper.... OH WELL, not like I can't build another, RIGHT!?!?!

Those of you that weren't able to come, make an effort to get here next year. You won't regret coming to this event.

Jason
