Going Sheep hunting

I hit the lottery, I got drawn for bighorn sheep in December. 45C, Kofa National wildlife refuge. I am getting super excited. Time to get to know the area. Lots of hiking for me for the next 6 months. I might try and take a trip soon just to drive around and see whats there.

Congrats. Great area to camp and explore with many access roads surrounding all the mountains there. Generally not much traffic out there either. That will be a fun hunt.

Trip today

Congrats! I'm collecting my sheep & bison bonus points right now. Did get drawn for a November Coues hunt at least.

I actually saw three sheep on the Salt River last week

A friend of mine got one out there a few years ago, literally on the last hour of daylight on his last day. He said it was quite a challenging hunt.
