GM 10si Alternator Upgrade anyone? (2 Viewers)

Looking to upgrade the OEM alternator in my 67 FJ45 to get more Amps to drive the Warm 8274 winch I am installing. Research shows that the GM 10si “one wire” internally regulated alternator which produces 140-160 amps and will work with my FJ45. Anyone else using one, and if so notice a big difference? Stock 1F motor.

Have not installed the winch yet, wanted to get it all sorted on paper & parts first. Welcome any advice @mattressking
