Did you wire up those under dash lights yourself? Mine doesn't have those.
 
Made some progress

The front axle is done with an Aussie locker, Longfield axles and hub gears. New oil is in. Marlin seals also. She is back on all fours. Just need to bleed the brakes.

BritKLR also fixed up my slide for the fridge, and tomorrow night I will mount it on the platform, and get it in the cruiser.

Slowly but surely....

well after this past weekend down and disney I have added a couple of things on the list.
ubolt flip kit, new power steering pump, H55F, ujoints and finish exhaust. add-a-leaf in the front. I guess the bumper and winch really adds on more than the heavy ome springs can handle. I have lost about a inch and half on them since they have settled with the extra weight.

LOL Thats about how i bring it up to the lady too. just mix it all up and emphasize on the smaller thing.:)
 
Nice! I would of just told the wife I was rebuilding the 4 speed and somehow managed to add a 5th gear ;)

i might be able to help you out with the add a leafs. I have some brand new ones out in the garage.

oh she knows about the h55f. she reads my books in the library(bathroom;) too.

I'll have a H55f for sale soon as I get the 700r4 in.
 
Well, I replaced every coolant hose and clamp on the front (oil cooler hoses and rediator) trying to track down a coolant leak just to find out it was a faulty radiator cap.

I guess it was good to do anyway but geesh:rolleyes:

I am going to do that when I replace the bvsv that i found broke when i desmoged. It wont hurt but now you have spares. I stopped off at the dealer and have some parts on order :hillbilly:
 
UPDATE:

1. Install Longfields and Aussie locker up front. DONE
2. Put new O-ring on idler shaft. DONE
3. Install Inverter.
4. Track down intermittent engine cutout. (I hope it is ignition module)
5. Get hi lift mounts welded on. DONE
6. Mount Fire Extinguisher. IN PROGRESS
7. Fab/Mount bumper brackets for A-frame to tow it.
8. Change all fluids. IN PROGRESS
9. 2WD low mod.
10. Need the correct shocks for the lift. Changed my approach and ORDERED FORD SHOCK MOUNTS.
11. Remove chrome trim. DONE
12. Cargo Platform. DONE
13. Move radio from dash to Tuffy. Just need longer antenna coax.
14. Pretty her up for the trip.

Yep. The 60 lived in Colorado most of it's life. Owned by someone with last name Boardman in Littleton. Before that was someone by the name of Glascock in Denver.
 
Mwalls, After wheeling with you this past weekend in Disney your not going to have any problems (knock on wood) with that sweeeet 60.

I dont think it will have a problem but after next week i will at least have a lower 1st gear and have the front end up a little higher so i dont catch the front bumper. oh and your little aviator picture dont do your big runner justice lol.
 
4/8 UPDATE:

1. Install Longfields and Aussie locker up front. DONE

4. Track down intermittent engine cutout. REPLACED ROTOR, CAP and PLUGS. Had the ignition module tested[Good]
5. Hi-Lift mounts welded on. DONE
6. Mount Fire Extinguisher. DONE
7. Fab/Mount bumper brackets for A-frame to tow it.
8. Change all fluids. IN PROGRESS. Axles done
9. 2WD low mod.
10. Replace shock towers. FORD SHOCK TOWERS ARE IN.
11. Remove chrome trim. DONE
12. Cargo Platform. DONE
13. Move radio from dash to Tuffy. Just need longer antenna coax.
14. Pretty her up for the trip.
15. Install original radio in dash. DONE.
