Getting 35's under a 200

But I do think on the 200 bigger is better !

I'd have to tow a trailer for the fuel. Range with the 5.7 V8 already sucks.

I'm intrigued by this option. Couple of questions.

Where did you have to cut? Seems like it's in the rear?

You didn't mention extended bump stops. Assume you will need those?

I have RW wheels with the extended offset. Any sense on whether that will push too far out and create issues on the fenders?

When you said no issues with the KDSS, I'm assuming you did not install Slee's KDSS bracket and still didn't have any issues?

Thanks all, and Marshall, nice to see you working on 200's!

Just had to cut a small section behind the front tire. The flares covered it up. Not sure about the bump stops. Certainly possible to get coil bind since we have them as high as they can go.

Mike go flex that thing out and take a pic.

No slee bracket and no issues with the KDSS.

A bigger offset may cause issues turning and rubbing in the front. Rear won't be an issue. Steen there is only one way to find out. I talked with Dugan about what I did. He could do this mod easily.

If I could get more 200's in the shop I'd be here more often.

This is the way they should come from the factory except with the white letter tires turned inboard ;)
It's what my wife wanted, she's from Texas and it's her truck! Old school haha

Has anyone done the tundra arm mod to an LX570? Specifically, can this be made to work with AHC in place? Or does the shock length need to change significantly?

I was under the impression that no one has been able to lift or modify the suspension on a 570 yet. I and many others prefer the interior on the 570 but purchased LC trucks because of this limitation.

I don't see why it couldn't be done but way more complicated tricking the AHC and the rest of the truck to think it's still in the same place. You would probably have to modify the lower A arms to allow for use of the factory shocks. Change the AHC height control arms and Modify the rear shock mounts to keep the rear shocks. That's going to be the key is keeping the shocks and modifying the mounts. Will limit articulation but give you the height you want for larger tires.

Good friend of mine called me a few weeks ago and had just bought his wife a 2011 and wanted to put 35's under it. A few calls and there just wasn't any good definitive answer if it could be done. And there isn't a kit that has everything needed. So a week of research and we ordered the parts. In a nutshell your taking the cruiser A arms off and replacing them with tundra arms and cv's. Giving a 1.5" wider stance on each corner on the front. We went with a hodge podge of parts because he was on a budget.

Camburg tundra upper A arms
Stock tundra lower A arms
Bilstien adjustable tundra coil overs
Tundra tierod ends
Tundra cv's
Ironman B series lifted rear spring with foamcell pro shocks.
1.5" wheel spacers for the rear

The only unknown which Kurt from Cruiser Outfitters helped with was how to deal with the KDS system. Which we thought might be an issue but wasn't. Thanks Kurt for putting up with us.

Lift went smooth. Only issue we ran into was rubbing on some of the plastic wheel well. 5 min with an air saw and all was well. I will say having the factory flares helps hide the cutting.

That's a 4" lifted 80 on 35's. The 200 is just as tall. It's big. Real big. Love the look. Ride is just as smooth. And taking a curb at 45 is nothing in this beast.

Bringing this back.

Do you think that I can put just tundra 6112 bilstein with tundra uca without the cv, upper and lower control arms? I have tundra 6112 and waiting on bilstein rear for lc200. I'm almost to the point of putting 80 series rear 5100 and call it a day. Please let me know.

Putting 295 70 18 with the lift.

I don’t think that will work. You need to put all the Tundra parts for the geometry to work out. Otherwise, your suspension won’t cycle properly. Good luck.

I know this is a older post , just wondering how the tundra conversion is working out ? It’s been almost 2 years with this post .
I’m considering doing the Tundra swamp on my 2019 .

My buddy just brought his 2013 to Marshall at Trollhole Cruisers and it came out great. Drove it all the way back to South Florida the Same day it was done without any issues. The original one was done on McInnis‘ truck 5 years ago and he’s been all over the country with it. So far, I have to say this is a very good option to lift a 200 and fit 35’s under it. Reach out to Marshall for the details on the one he did on my buddy’s 2013 last month. It wasn‘t as budget friendly as the one done 5 years ago but it came out awesome.

That sounds great , I’m weighing all my options for my 2019 . I want to do 35”s with no rubbing , considering my LC is almost brand new I have no problem buying new factory LC and axles and lower arms there pretty cheap , I could not see putting used Ebay stuff on a new truck .
I did see RCV is now doing axles but would be a bit over kill for the intended use of my rig mostly deep sand , mud and slag coal hills is all I have living out on the eastcoast .
My thing is clean and dependable , I don’t really like the Icon aluminum stuff , there adjustable struts are pretty good but don’t care for there aluminum arms and links .
I’m going to be running a TJM T13 front bumper , its going to come down to front strut configuration as far as lift and load .
I do like the Tundra set up gives you a decreased CV angle , my understanding a stock Tundra swap gives you 2” lift ?

The 2013 that was just done is on 35x12.5 BFG All Terrains. Body mount chop was necessary to prevent rubbing. Center hub to fender he is 24.5" front and 25" back with no extra weight. My current OME setup with 2703 front and 2723 springs rear is 21" front and 24" rear. I've got bumper, winch, 2nd battery front and loaded drawers & full 34" spare in rear. I'm switching front to Icon 2.5 & OEM spacer to get extra height based on my discussion with Bryce @ Cruiser Outfitters. I think the Tundra lift gets more like 3". It looks so good!

My truck is going in my shop , I am lucky to have a spot in the back of my building for the winter I drive the Tacoma , up here all the salt and slop will rust you truck away .
I have all winter to do my build .
So what will the tundra with the 2.5 give you ? Have you had or will have to run extended links on your KDSS , I see BDS have adj links ?

If you use the BDS links you have to cut them down shorter. To match the factory link length. Otherwise the kdss will hit the tie rods. They are nice links and make the geometry of the linkages much better. If you use SPC upper arms you can adjust the wheels forward and avoid a body mount chop. I've had the tundra conversion on my truck 5 years. And been on 35s for the past 2 years. Its the best way to go to get 35s under the truck.

I’m doing SPC arms , I was going to do a BP-51 like every one else , after doing all the reading I would rather have a wider and less CV angle using mostly factory parts .
I have a full machine shop and I weld so fabrication is not a problem .
My biggest choice would be what front Tundra shock / strut combination . I don’t need a remote reservoir . How much lift will a 2.5 adj give you on the LC ?
I was just looking for Icon Specs , I see they have a 3.0 shock for both LC and Tundra ... I see why the full Icon LC kit is 6k just the 3.0 shocks are 2700 .
I was looking at the base specs Tundra 1.6 to 3.5 adj and LC is only 2.5 to 3.5 .
Shocks look to be the same except the Tundra have long hoses on the remotes .
Any one running 3.0 with tundra arms ?
