Nothing a little black speed duct tape wont fix until I come up with a better solution.

Yeah a speed sensor....... where's the one from the axle???

Just get a metal plate cut and use gasket sealer after you bolt it down.

Not in that same spot, but I've gone to my local hardware store and bought generic rubber plugs in the hardware section. Take a measurement and I'm sure you can find something that will fit. They are super cheap too. (in my store, they are literally right next to the loose nuts and bolts)

Yeah an expansion plug would work

Love the progress. I will be looking into your budget sound deadening solution. Other than the lowering in temperatures, has there been a change in the sound as well.. ???

HECK YEA!!! Even driving around with the windows down it is a very noticable difference! A/C is not fixed just yet, so yea, I'm still driving in windows down mode. I'm totally stoked on the lower sound level! Either the winter will be great once the windows go up or once the A/C is sorted and I have not even addressed the doors yet!

Thanks for dropping in and asking!

Thanks for the feedback!!! Would you say layers 1 and 2 helped? If you were to do it again would you have done it the same way?

Adv80 touches dirt!!!

While it was not a full-blown off-road test... I never really left the road... I did get to put my truck on dirt for a little while yesterday! The rig felt great! Its great to have 4WD - All Wheel Drive back! I got to put it in 4L for a small section so that was cool too! It was maybe 15-miles worth of dirt road to loosen anything that might loosen so we will call it a simi-shakedown.

But I was busy, so it was not even about my truck as this was the only image snapped.

Its photo shoot time at work; studio photos are done and that means we get to go outside and shoot the outside stuff. No, the Land Cruiser is not our product, I work for Axial R/C Inc and we have something new coming towards the end of the year. There is a nice little creek here to launch R/C canoes! A nice cliff here to launch R/C hang gliders too! Lots of work to do!!!

oh yea, it has a cool lumberjack or hipster action figure that controls the padel. hehehe

R/C canoe???? Mmmmm that sounds like fun

I found metal freeze plugs at Napa that pressed into the speed sensor holes.

Are you running wheel spacers with those rims?

Hello Arndog123, thanks for checking out my thread and asking "whats next?"

Well... lets start with:

• make ebrake cable work
• switch battery cable around - yes, I put it in backwards!
• waterproof distributor
• extend axle breather vents
• replace front brake lines
• TJM Air compressor to make the TJM Pro Air Lockers work
• new front & rear cryo brake rotors
• new tie rod ends
• proper speed sensor covers - not my ductape
• 200K tune up: belts & the works!
• new charcoal canister
• TJM steering dampener - factory one is DEAD!
• get air compressor for air lockers & install it.
• in-coil air bags - rear
• wire lights on front bumper
• TJM Tire Repair Kit part #867TJMTYRERE
• Slee Headlight Wiring Harness
• PIAA Headlight Bulb replacement
• replace dead PF LED bulb
• test A/C system and get it R12 juiced!
• New radiator overflow cap
• new power steering cap gasket
• Magnaflow exhuast
• Young Gun grey titanium ceramic coated 3FE header [check it!]
• Dual Die Hard Platinum M31 batteries
• upgraded Drive Shafts
•*Nitro Gear Birfields
•*TJM LED work lights
• Rear bumper / tire - gas carrier
• TJM RTT + awning
• TJM or Warn winch
• Pull-Pal Recovery Tool - Determine which size needed for my vehicle
•*Premier Power Welder - on-board
• bush wires
• remote oil filter mount
• transmission cooler
• NEO lubricants: diffs / tranny
• HAM Radio
• stereo that will play CD's and or mp3's
• frig of sort
• additional cup holders
• replace my busted rear turn signal - get new set
• new driver side seat foam
• bush style seat covers
• Burberry wrapped seats & roof liner
• Gucci door panels
• Louis Vuitton travel trunks
[check it]

And when all that is done, I want a TWINS TURBO built - 1,000 brake horse power twin-turbo motor! http://www.twinsturbo.com/

You know, all the regular stuff we dream about!!! I would trade all this stuff for TIME!!! Time to hop in and take off on a long trip! I would go just like it is today - NO A/C AND ALL! Time is on backorder!

CDDan, when is that order of 672-free hours coming in?

Wow, you've done a lot to your 80 and it looks great. What's next?:D

The ebrake can be sourced from 93-97. I believe it is all the same. I just used the same ebrake from my 94 that I rolled. Not hard to install.

That "what's next " list is crazy! Have fun!
