no. that sounds good to me.

My 91 4WD got 100miles per 1/4 of tank. The last quarter was more like @70 though since I think that's where the cam made the most ark. (sending unit arm does not drop straight)

anywho...

I forgot the gallons the tank held...Ex cab gas tanks are larger.

anyway...If I had the gallons I'd divide it by 400miles and give you my mileage.

oh...and welcome, cheese-it :flipoff2: < newb welcome :D

In 1999, 32" AT tires, 4.56 gears (I think), 22re DOA. 18.1mpg average for the year. Best: 23.4mpg. Worst: 14.6mpg.

In 2005, 33" MT tires, 4.56 gears, 22re DOA. Best: 20.0mpg. Worst: 14.1mpg.

With the 33" MT I can usually count on 17mpg.

Jim,

It is interesting what you mentioned about the differance in your mileage when using Mobile 1 vs. Rotella. I have never seen that posted before. Have you heard of others mention similar results? I'm using Mobile 1 in everything I own.

Thanks
Steve

Jim. Are you SURE about those figures??? With that much additional weight/regearing and dropping mpg on the highway?

Seems really high but good for you if so!

My 92 Std Cab 4x4 22re W56 gets 23.5-24 highway and 20-21 city. Fresh tune up, valves, timing chain. I NEVER use synthetics and will never switch on a vehicle/engine like this. Regular gas-either Shell or Chevron.

How: Never shift after 3k rpm i.e. get used to the engine in the 1800-2800 rpm range. Plenty of power there for most anything in my area. Just take your time ( :

ALL stock minus a soft top/camper top.
