An "ossewa" directly translated is an "ox wagon" and was the mode of transport used by the Voortrekkers in the Great Trek of Southern Africa in the 1800's - an epic adventure on a par with the opening up of the western United States.
So I figure it is an appropriate name for my new ride - an Aussie BJ42RV LX built 03/84. It took a long time to find her, and I think I probably paid a little more than I should have, but she has all the factory goodies - A/C, P/S, 5sp, front discs, 6 forward facing seats, practically no rust, and 270000km means about 10000km(6000ml) per year of her life. Roadworthy, registered, and drives sweetly.
So below are some pics taken on delivery - I think she is mostly stock and my intention is to keep her that way (mostly). She will be my daily driver so I'll fix a few things now and perhaps in a few years (once I recover from buying her) she'll get a full restore to original. (If you need reference pics feel free to shout - any way I can help the MUD forum).
Cheers

(official salute, no offense intended but I'm very jealous of your cruiser)
says it is more like an obsession. Thanks to all the Mudders though - the commitment and community on here is inspirational.
