Nothing major, The FJ40 showed up from the Walter Moses Tub building session a few weeks back, so I'm working on finalizing the rest of it... I'm jones'n to go full bore on the FZJ....

One of my favorite things to do is build stainless exhaust... The downpipe start it off.... I should have some good pics of exhaust fab up this week.

Pipes are almost done, high flow converters can also be seen...

Up and over the frame we go... plenty of room for the double 2.25's. Managed build a couple trick little brackets that retain the post cats factory mount... Yup, the t-case will have to get a nice heat sheild.

I've always wanted to put a manual transmission into my 80. After seeing this I doubt I could. I'm glad someone is doing it, and a damn good job too!

putting a manual tranny in your 92 80 would be a lot easier. H41, h42, h55's all are bolt on to your 3fe with a 3f bellhousing. Alot of 62 guys have swapped in manual transmissions to their 3fes.

what are you going to do about heat on the floorboard there where the pipes go over the frame? You may melt some carpet...

The factory heat sheild is in place right there, you can see it in the first over the frame picture.

To keep it a true dual the Borla mufflers are stacked.

Over the axle it goes.

Anyone have some thoughts as to the exits? Keep em together? One per side?

I dunno, I kinda like the look of the two pipes exiting side by side

I think "duals" have come to be associated w/ Chevy Z71s and the rednecks that drive them, at least I know for me they have.

Are you bending all this up yourself?

Though I do have a bender, this system is built from mandrel bent pieces cut and welded together.

Is there an H or X-pipe? Would this help with power?

The X or H pipe placement has yet to be determined... I've read a bunch about them.
