Fzj80 Headlight Electrical Issue

Anyone have experience with a headlight issue on the FZJ80s?

I melted a relay last week, lost all headlights. New relay blew out in less than a day of driving.

What areas should I be looking for as far as fixing the issue and what could be causing this?

In the meantime I have to jump my connections with a paperclip in order to drive at night with headlights

Is your headlight wiring all original/stock, or do you have an aftermarket "upgrade" harness?

Stock as far as im aware for them.
Ill be swapping in HIDs shortly so I would like to get this squared away before i do that

Id check and see if any of the headlight bulb plugs have melted together.

And what do you mean your relay blew out?

Its melted internally. Roasted 2 of them now
