just got my 79 2f up an running after complete rebuild.
at idle the return line is returning fuel at a rate of appxmly
gallon per minute. is this a normal flow?
at present I do not have the tank installed (gozzard tub build working on fuel cell placement)
so fuel is directly from plastic jerry can and fuel return plumped to a separate container.
set up to I can simply adjust timing and carburetor fuel mixture etc. and run the engine for an hour.
I was impressed at the fuel flow . I would never have know how much fuel is returned
if I hadnt had this makeshift setup.

thoughts on fuel flow? thanks

Flat level seems correct per FSM. should there be a continuous flow? Even as the throttle is higher there is still
Under full throttle there will be no return, all used:oops:
thats what i was wondering. I should see a slower flow in return as throttle increases.
what if I do not?

just joking with you mate, but i guess it would slow a little, unless the increased rpm made it pump more. I have never checked one but if its running fine i would not be too concerned.

Guess that makes sense. Thanks all.
