Hey all,
This is my first post here. Since I couldn't find the information prior to doing the repair, I figured I'd put the knowledge out there for others that run into the same issue.
My 2003 Landcruiser with 250k miles died on the road recently. It had been having slow start/long cranking conditions for a couple weeks prior. The shop it was towed to quoted me $200 for diagnostic alone, so I opted to throw in the cheapest fuel pump I could find, because that's what I had suspected had failed. I was correct, and got it running, but a week later, the same symptoms returned. Apparently a weak check valve is common amongst cheap pumps. I opted to replace with an OEM pump.
The problem I ran into is that I had to splice in a new pigtail for the cheap fuel pump. And I mistakenly had thrown away the original one. Toyota does not sell this harness separate from the whole hanger assembly. I took a chance on a harness that appeared to have similar connectors and it worked out.
So, if you're looking for the harness that connects the fuel pump to the hanger assembly, the P/N that worked for me was 77785-60021. It's a tad bit longer than OEM, but it works and was only $20.
