I'll throw in a vote for BG44K. Use it every 5000 miles or so on my higher mileage vehicles and in my 22yo 911 with 69K miles. It doesn't hurt and is cheap insurance.
 
There's research and empirical evidence out there that high quality additivities like Techron works.
Would be interested in seeing those citations. I've never used anything in years and years of cars without issue to my knowledge but there's always something new to be learned. That includes two 200 series in Saudi Arabia for over 4 years FWIW.

For what it's worth...Porsche recognized the benefit in the 80s and even put out a TSB.
