Just finished the weekend down in that area in similar conditions. Single digits friday night. Perfect camping as long as there is no wind. Chainsaw and big fire.

Looking at the weather forecast for next weekend.... it looks pretty darn nice. highs in the 50's from Thursday to the weekend. The bad news is that I cannot attend, so the question then is who wants to lead this rag tag group and it is superbowl weekend, so who is in? Post up!!!

Any update?

I’ll be running part of this trail the weekend of the 18th, if anyone wants to join in just let me know.

Who knows on the weather. I’ll be there unless it’s dumb cold and rainy.

I have not heard much activity for next weekend, the 10-12 of who wants to go.... my wife and I are unable to go. Weather looks great for Thrursday and Friday, with colder weather on Saturday, but dry.

If nothing materializes, we will start to hope for good weather the following weekend... 18th

I think we are looking at the 18th as of now, I only counted 3 rigs including myself for this weekend. In my opinion the best way to make it happen is to make the date firm now so we can start planning.

Here we go.... Yell if you want a slot....

Dates: Thursday, Feb 17 thru Feb 20.

Vehicle Limit: 10

Depart KC timing: KC about 1pm from 71 highway at flying J truck stop in Peculiar. Should be 3.5 hours to the area we go to.

Route Start: ?? St. Joe, AR last time.

Ending location: The route is 140 miles long, after night 2 camp site there is still 55 miles but several early out options.

Camping: Will most likely be trailside

Route Difficulty: Difficulty medium, dependent on amount of snow. A driver can do it with a slightly modified vehicle and off road tires. Expect fun, pinstripes, possible dents depending on how brave you are.

Vehicle Recommendations: Recovery points, all terrain tires, traction aids, extended breathers and maybe a snorkel.

Disclaimer... the only thing that will stop us will be a ice storm or blizzard

My wife and I are in for the 18th weekend. Start praying for warmer weather.

Do we want to get hotel the first night again??? Last time I think we stopped in Harrison for hotel.

Looks like buffalo was at 6.8' last trip for reference. appears to be about the same now.

In as well.

In for weekend of 18th!

Same hotel for Thurs night would be good I think. They were pretty accommodating with leaving trailers there last time.

Also I’ll be bringing a saw along, so no need for you guys to haul one all the way.

I highly doubt we need it as much as the trails get run but I’ve got it packed and ready.

Weather keeps looking Better for Friday and Sat.

I plan on being in that area with a small group and might hook up with you all for a short bit. We won't get down to richland creek area till late friday evening. Weather looks perfect
