i’ve had significant difficulty getting in touch with front range off-road. I’ve started a rebuild on a 62 and bought their 2005 tundra brake upgrade kit. I did not receive any instructions.

Does anyone have @Front Range 4x4 tundra brake upgrade instructions. (Or maybe know of there is a video). I know this is a tough request, but I’ve called the vendor, sent them emails and left messages previously and never even got a reply.

I’m about to start knuckle rebuild and plan to do the brake upgrade while reassembling.

Thanks guys!

Bummer. :(

Bummer.
@cruisermatt Hey Matt, I was gonna give you guys a call this week. My cruiser had original 15 inch chrome wheels on it. The tires are at least 15 years old and shot, but the wheels are in pretty good condition. I need to make it over to your shop just to say hi sometime cause I’ve heard great things about your shop. I’m in Tampa. do you have any interest for the wheels, not really interested in making money just wanna make sure they go to a good home.

Ill see if my kit came with instructions, but I think i just followed Godwins thread.

Matt found and provided some hardware in there too that is nice.

couple photos in my thread too

Thanks @BurntToast - it’s a good start. Done this all on a 40 series but that was 10 years ago and everything slightly different on 62. Doing suspension replacement along with the brake replacement - similar to these write ups! Appreciate the knowledge on here!

I would have much rather been the vendor to sell you the exact same brake upgrade kit, knuckle kit etc and been able to talk you through the entire project, we do those setups all the time and actually respond to our customer’s calls and messages.

I know @wngrog had installed this kit on my FZJ75, but then removed it at the time as the previous owner took the truck in a different direction. Ping him as he should know of some of the nuances for installing this.

Good luck and keep us posted so we can assist where possible. Just take your time, brakes are something you want to get right the first time.

Cheers, James

Thanks everyone for the help - I did find a video on YouTube regarding a TACO big brake upgrade with same FROR kit. Just posting it here in case someone falls on this thread for same reason.

@cruisermatt I'm going to drop you a PM. I am a "PRN" user of MUD forums and bought my parts before I knew you guys did brake and suspension work. Parts been in my barn for months waiting for me! However, just searching on these treads for an answer now its obvious you guys are MUCH better at customer service and do custom work. My last rebuild was ~ 2010 and just did it with MUD and my own experience! I'm going to be using your team a lot over the next year.

Thanks @60Works - you saved me some time again. I read the entire thread a couple times this week but I just noticed your comment “the knuckle ears need to be cut OR swapped right to left”. That was super helpful as I was about to cut them based on other forum threads.

I initially swapped knuckles to the opposite sides and ran the brake mod like that until I went back in to do a knuckle rebuild. At that time I decided that these knuckles would never be used with 60 series calipers again and cut the ears and swapped the knuckles back to their original sides. Having the knuckle plug toward the front makes it easier to add grease if needed.
