I don't see why you would need them? The dust cover goes outside of the spindle, the only spacing change from not having it, would be the dust seal, so :meh:. The change will only be a few thousands and IMHO the dust seal isn't even that critical, so :meh::meh:. :hillbilly:

Thanks Tool R Us. I appreciate your help on my fan clutch too!! Your wealth of knowledge is very impressive. Anyway, think I finally got that whipped; however, I would like an opinion on the best fan clutch to find used and rebuild.

anyway, I digress......

Heard back from Christo Slee and he said that there is a small amount of spacing that it provides for the dust shield, however, it does provide nice protection, so if possible put it back on.

With that said, I am on the hunt for some used dust shields.

Anyone????

little update

Waiting for dust shields from CDan, and decided to put another new spindle on, as the clearance was different....

Got longer brake lines from NAPA and other stuff on. Took picture if anyone needs the part number. 2 inches longer than stock. $15 each

Had it turned a while back and since then, just sitting in my garage. Garage is pretty low humidity, so things keep pretty nice in the garage.

We have not had rain in KC since June, and strange low humidity has come of it. All the yards are brown, and I have not had to mow since May.

I left my dust shields off, as well as a friends truck for many thousands of miles w/o issues, they dont do anything

yup. no problems here. and it looks so much better.

Well, they are already ordered.... I will post up the size of the space they are, in case anyone wants to make a delete plate.
