Think I paid ZAR 11K a few years back, Ross. They are a bit (15%) more than some of the others but well worth it IMHO.
Per litre, they are nearly double the price of the local and imported models sold here.
Jeepers ! It does depend where you buy and if the place has a special price going etc but the max price difference I have ever seen, was about 30%. At almost double the price I would also be reluctant

.. Im intersted in their retractable 3.0mx2.1m Eazi awning, any experience with them?
Ross I have owned a Hanniball for 2+ years now and it is great, IMHO. I also bought the sides for it which I had zippered for obvious reasons. What I like most about the Hannibal is the fact that
1. it does not have any ground poles at all and is very quick to erect or take down - much quicker than anything else and is therefore a pleasure to use for prepping meals etc during quick lunch stops. I have too many friends who would never dream of using their awnings during a lunch stop and therefore it eventually ends up being a white elephant(I don't like unused equipment) just because it is a real schlep to erect.
2. it is very sturdy even in bad winds etc - I have seen a few other makes being damaged/ not holding up, in moderate weather
3. it does not rattle at all when folded away- I hate rattling equipment :whoops:

Im guessing the proprieters are expats from SA. They have other products from there too. Im intersted in their retractable 3.0mx2.1m Eazi awning, any experience with them?
Hi Ross
Had an Easy awn 2m on my old Hi-Lux for many years. It is quite light and the Hi-Lux had leaf springs all round, so lots of bouncing etc, but it worked well and held up well. Can really be put up by one person. Don't lnow the Honnibal part, but the mechanics to have it cantilevered will definetely make it much heavier with possible side-ways loading at the moutnig points when extended.
Will probably end up with Easy awn on my 79, since it tis avaliable here and the Hannibal agents locally was closed on Saturday
I have a WAECO CF 110, 106 liters, BIG and HEAVY, uses a fair amount of power. I am glad I have two yellow tops . Thinking about setting up a smaller third battery and a 10 watt solar panel.
Ever considered a deep cycle battery? They have thick plates designed to dribble out small amounts of power over a longer period and can be recharged a thousand times or more.
My CF80 gets about 2 1/2 days from a 100 amp deep cycle without recharging.
I now have it connected to the engine batteries through an isolater and recharge from the alternator.
A 10 watt solar panel would take all day to make enough power for 1 hour.
You would need at least a 120 watt panel for a CF110,maybe a 60 woulde be ok if you were recharging off the alternaotr also each day.
Ok you are swaying me![]()
Got any pics? Im particuarly interested in how much it sticks out the side and its abilty to get tangled in trees.
