that cruiser was the one for sale off west sannaich road... how much did you pick it up for?

lookin good... do you need some running boards?

just pulled off a pair of aluminum ones if your interested...

you around tomorrow afternoon?
could bring them by for you to look at...
you need some welding done too...

I have a clutch and flywheel

Well clutch is shot... so that gets bumped up the list of things to do....

I have a 3 finger OEM toyota clutch, flywheel, and throwout bearing sitting in my Garage was close to $600 new less the flywheel. The motor spun a rod bearing within 5000 miles. Willing to let it go for some cash (cheap) or trade.

I went to a chev motor so I will never need it.... but I couldn't just throw it out.

From the look of the info in the following thread it should work fine in yours.

This information is covered very well in THIS THREAD <---- this is a link

I think that sounds pritty good to me ... sounds like it'll work anybody have any reason it wouldn't work?

Do you have a 4spd or 3 spd? I think the 3 finger clutch was for a 3 spd and I don't know if it will work with a 4spd. Bikersmurf what did it come out of?

Looks good but a little advice: trim your U-bolts before you go out wheeling... You'd be amazed at what bitch a log is with 4 u-bolts dug into it!

It came out of a July 74 fj 40 with a 4 speed transmission and an F Motor (all stock).

I'll have a look and see if i've got the clutch fork as well, although I recall it being very similar to the 2F clutch fork.

I've also got a 2F flywheel to compare it to or for sale/trade if someone wants it.

Hmmm... I think you will at least need to bolt it an F clutch, its dished out in the middle. Give er a shot though!

I've got both and F and 2F flywheels.:D

The F flywheel, pressure plate, and throw up bearing are all from my 74. They were removed shortly after installation when the F motor spun a rod bearing.

The 2F flywheel was from a 77 fj45 I parted out 15 years ago.

so just to make sure I follow right, you've got a flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, and realease bearing from a 74 with a 2f and a fourspeed?

No, all that s*** from a F engine and a 4 spd...

A little clarification on my part here, I meant to say flywheel instead of clutch my last post. A 3 finger clutch needs to be bolted to an F flywheel that is dished in the middle. Sounds like it will work with a 4spd bell and fork etc.

well the clutch job starts tomorrow it looks like was supposed to start today but it took me all day to get back to courtenay thanks to having to turn around... anyway if anyones in courtenay and wants to avoid their family over christmas and visit my beer fridge/cruiser they are welcome to give me a shout on my cell at 884-9466
