LOL

If it makes you feel better I had to replace the smog pump in Bob on the side of the road today :wrench::bang:

Alright, heres what I've gotten done.

The PS box is done. I got the assist hoses made up last night.

Got the Tie Rod end of the ram mount done. Just need to do the axle end.

You can kind of see the ram.

the tape is very temporary.

Made up some 1/2" knuckle gussets to tie everything together.

Found a brakeline to take care of the hard line to caliper. The listed part number I've seen before is a very low production item. When Weak-Link built his, he was told they had 3 of them in the US. That was about 2 months before I tried to buy mine. When I did, they said they only had 1 in the US.

I did some thinking and came up with this one.

Same length as the other listed on Mud but a bit more plentiful. It is the rear line off a mid 80s 2WD mini truck. If you get the one for a 4WD, it will be about an 1 1/2" longer. And for $10 a piece from NAPA, I figured it was worth a shot.

Heres how it sat as of a few nights back.

Today I worked on the rear suspension.

Got the leaves bolted to the front hanger and threw in the shackle end to the stock mount to get an idea of where I need to locate the new shackle mount. Hopefully tear into that in the next few days.

Beauty of a shackle angle.

edit: did it again

So there it sits. Hopefully next week I can get the rear suspension done and tear into the axle and maybe the tranny/cases.

I'm ready to get to wheelin as is my daughter. The other night I put her down for bed and she saw me getting my shoes on. She asked what I was doing. I told her I was going to go work on the Cruiser for a little bit. She says, "Dad, can you work on the Cruiser for a lotta bit? I asked her why and she said "because I really want to go wheelin and camipng.

:bang:

Man, I gots ta get after it now! :bounce:

This is the one I used.
Surplus Center Item Detail
I've used them before. Had one on my '83 mini that I did the write up on Marlins site with.

I got some fittings from
Discount Hydraulic Hose.com

Their fitting price isn't super cheap but their hose is. That's why I bought all my junk for the 40 from them. (including the aforementioned 100' of hose)

Sure. It's pretty easy.

BTW, I forgot to add that on my ram, I cut off the fixed ends and welded on tube bungs for 3/4" Heims. On my mini truck I ran the fixed ends and had absolutely no problems even with DD'ing that truck.
I just did it on this one because I had the bungs and Heims laying around from past projects.
