BTW, this rig is staying 6 lug so I'm not running a 3/4 or 1 ton axle.

As long as it works out, it should be a solid axle that will take some decent abuse.

Could you get an old Eaton axle in a 6 lug? That would be about the same width as your front. I can't remember if they came offset to the driver or passenger side, but can't you flip the diff in the housing with a little work?
