The front end is now %100 done. It just needs PS fluid and the brakes blead but it is all together.

Heres the modified ram. It started out as Surplus Center Item Detail and I cut off the fixed ends and welded on some 3/4" tube adapters I had lying around.

Heres a crappy shot of the axle end ram mount:

And heres one of the ram with the hoses all connected.

Now I can get back to the rear suspension.

Got my carb. All nice and shiny and back from Jim C

The rear suspension is just about done. Just need to burn in the sleeves for the rear shackle mount. Dropped it on the wheels to see how it sat.

The frame is right @ 25 1/4" off the ground. We'll see how much below the frame the drive train ends up.

Bottom of the frame unfortunately.

 I wish it was that far a long. Even with all my "free time, " I haven't gotten a ton done. Now for the next 2 weeks I'll have the girls all week rather than just a couple of days so work will get even slower.

Although maybe they'll go for playing "wheelin" in the cruisr for a few hours here and there. :hhmm:

Got the rear suspension done. Just need to get some 12" Bilsteins and get them mounted, set the pinion angle, and burn in the perches.
IMG_1997.jpg

I added a leaf to the rear packs so I raised the shackle hanger location. Built a plate for the inside of the frame and ran the sleeve through.

IMG_1999.jpg

Cleaned it up and threw on some paint.
IMG_2000.jpg

Now I can tear into the drive train.

The shackle angle is a bit better. This should ride pretty well. (BTW the front end is down a few inches in these pics so the angle is better than it shows)
IMG_2001.jpg

Also cut the quarters. Needed access to drill through the frame and this was a planned future mod anyway. The need caused it to move up the list. :D Already made the template for the patch panel, just need to cut it out.

It's coming right along. That's a pretty black frame.

I bet you'll need to cut or take out that body mount behind the tire. Boots modified his and I just cut mine out completely. So far I've had no problems without mine.

Well Weak-Link had a day off today so he came over for a few hours and made a mess of my engine bay (ie got more smog crap back in place  )

Got the split case pulled

And the tranny dropped

Tonight I worked on the flywheel, clutch, and Bellhousing. Everything went smooth except for the last bolt holding the pressure plate to the flywheel. Last bolt head was stripped out. I used the air hammer and my angle grinder and finally got it off. It shouldn't be too bad to extract the rest of the bolt as there is a fair bit still above the flywheel.
