Basically folks I found this through a friend..... went & looked at it today.
Looking for yawls feedback on its actual value, owner asking 2K but that seems high with all the rot but again I have never owned a 45LV Wagon

Pros:
Its all there.... open the doors & its like steeping back in time
Wiring not hacked up, all knobs & pulls are there
Seats are perfect, no cracks, doors good

Cons:
Rockers are shot, open doors & the floors have began to rot.....
Engine has knock (per owner.... does not run)
Rear door opened & rear sill has rot BAD

Let me know folks.

if the frame and roof are good, price is a bit high if it doesn't run, but I'd go with $1100-1400 cash??

Kinda what I was thinking.... the roof has a few small (finger nail) size holes.

I'll be getting the rear sills reproduced this spring as mine is also in rough shape. If you pick this up PM me for details.

Glad to hear.... whats your thoughts on price???

Are folks paying 500.00 are 1500.00 for their 45's????

Sounds like it has the regular rust issues. The fact that everything is there is a big plus.Is the tailgate salvagable too? If you're good with rust repair it looks pretty good.

I agree with 3_puppies on the price but it may be worth a little extra to you being that it is complete.Depends on how bad you want one.I paid under 1000 for mine - non runner, regular rust, and no interior at all (seats and hardware).

got bigger pics? hard to tell from the little ones above.

i still think it's well worth the price you mentioned on the phone. how many LVs are there east of the mississippi anyways?! maybe 10?.............

With the trouble some guys have had sourcing the interior bits and pieces, having them all there is worth a fair amount.

I think the price is way cheap. you guys west of the mississippi are not used to rust. all those rust areas either have patch panels or complete new body parts. or are really not to hard to fix. the lv has some thick sheet metal and is not too hard to weld in new. the fact that it is all there is simply priceless. i spent over 3K tracking down the little stuff. I paid 2300 for mine and it was in pieces. granted it came with a running 2f but that was on the other side of the house from the lv.
it took me 3 years to strip it all down and put it back together again if that is what you are looking to do this would be a great canidate. if you are looking for something that would take minimal work to get on t he road and be a sunday driver then this might be too much.
just my 2 cents, great find though Jason

value is in the eye of the beholder. Now obviously this day and age we want the most for your buck. If you are all hungry for a project and want to scoop it up, make a fair offer. I agree with the 1100-1400 cash offer. If the owner is offended or wont accept, it was not meant to be, OR counter offer with him.

It doesn't hurt to negotiate. Ive have paid less than the asking price and have driven off with buckets of parts to boot. Now, I am a horrible negotiator - but am fair and good mannered with dealing with people, and I think that has gone a long way.

I personally think 2k is not far off, and again would cash offer 1100-1400. See how it goes.

Good luck ;-)

I say do it! Make sure to ask the seller if there are a set of new OEM lenses under the seat, a set of hubcaps in the garage, and an OEM toolkit with all the tools hiding somewhere.;)

We need bigger pics but the rust is typical. I have extra frames if the one under there has rust issues. Back to my hiding place...I wouldn't want anyone to catch me in the 45 section. :steer:

Clutchee, you need this; something heavier to pull out my sons when they roll. I'm no LV guy but it looks decent to me for the vintage on the east coast. Go with cash and see what you can do.

Thanks Mike for steering me in the right direction.
