MAJOR forum software update pending....will update this post with the date once it's determined. MAY be as soon as tomorrow.

Xenforo 2.1 adds some new features and options:

• Native push notifications on supported devices/browsers
• Tables
• Reactions
• URL unfurling
• Emoji enhancements including an improved smilie menu with easy emoji access
• Content bookmarking and sharing

Most of the admin planning has been handled over the past few months. A couple of critical plugins are not yet developed, but are being finalized now.

Anticipate a few hours for this update

Once the update is performed, I'll be starting threads on each of the unique new features in this section of the forum. Guaranteed there will be questions, criticisms, etc of them all. Part of the game.

And I'm also QUITE sure there will be oddities to be reported and solved....the "bug" prefix in this same forum can be used when creating a thread to bring attention to those while I spend time solving them.

No part of a major update like this goes perfectly smoothly...but it's been in testing since November....the forum skin is about set (minor tweaks left), most of the plugins have been either handled or requested, etc.

Monday should be fun (as should Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday....lol)

I am sure there will be problems, but at least we know what is going on and we plan to expect them. It sounds like many of the bugs have been worked out behind the scenes!

Several other websites use the Xenforo "engine" to run their forums. But.... none are as nice as this one.
Definitely looking forward to the upgrade.
