That price seems a bit high to me, just judging from some I've seen on Autotrader and Ebay (but your location might run higher, I know here in CO they are WAY higher, most cheaper ones are in TX and East coast).

The cloth interior is the lower-end stuff obviously, but some like it more, but you also don't get power seats then (some say power seats and cloth would be the best combination). No lockers, not a big issue unless you're wheeling, but all things being equal the locked version would be worth alot more to me, since for me to retrofit lockers in is not cheap, so to others two vehicles would be simliar and worth the same, but to me personally, they would definetly not be worth the same.

170K miles is not overly high for a '94, but high enough to be selective.

To put this in perspectivie a '93 on ebay just sold last week, 235K miles, with lockers, leather interior, looked in descent shape, sold for $4K. 235K is alot of miles, but personally I'd buy one with 235K and lockers over one with 170K and no lockers...but I'm obviously biased towards lockers...

Thanks for the advice. I'm capable of changing most fluids, but would need to get the other services done by a shop. How much would you expect them to cost (IE birf job, phh, rear axle service)?

If you do a little bit of research, buy a few tools, and factory service manual you will be able to do all of the above stated jobs. Considering how many miles this rig has, the maint. will be defientely needed. I was in your same situation, got an unlocked rig, with 150k miles, and paid someone to do my worked. I dropped $2000 within a week. Now I regret it, because I should have done the work myself.

Trust me do the work yourself, and you will feel better about the rig and yourself.

Agreed, it's totally stock looking and LaMorinda/St Marys area is extremely unlikely to have someone that would put lockers into a stock '91 80. It's a very very wealthy (and pretentious)suburb of SF.

I might buy a 91-92 80 and rock this pretentious place by adding arbs.. though i
hope to afford a later model.

If anyone gets serious and would like some help with pictures or something, let me
know.

Swank60,
I would rather not start parting it out at this time. IF I do not sell it I will probably end up parting it out but I am not intertaining that idea right now. The A/C did work prior to the engine rebuild too.

Sacto easy there I'm an x from the Lamorinda area....

Well ,the areas of rust have expanded some. And there ar2 260Kmiles on it now.

I replace the waterpump. Froze up at -10 last winter also replaced sensor or two while I was there.

New rear brakes, and O2 sensor.

It does shift a little hard going into reverse after I've been dirving 25+ miles or so??? Unless I hold the breaks down.

One of the rear antisway bar mounts is off vehicle I have it, just need to remount it. Also one link on the front swaybar is not connected.

Big issue is of my front pass spring pack of 5 has 2 half broken leafs. I have new leafs but did not install them. It appears to have been like this for quite some time. I never knew.

I'm using the spare set of tires listed for the wifes explorer but you can still have the rims.

I'm on my third child and the vehicle is getting a little small. I drive it daily and it is my most trused vehicle. I cannot keep it for hunting, I have a pick-up as a second vehicle. So I need to sell this to buy a plus size vehicle. Maybe a wagoneer.

Let me know if there's any interest trade on a Wagoneer or full size cherokee

$2500

Scam

Funny but I had a very similar occurence looking for a 40. I ended up with a spoof Ebay/Paypal e-mail asking for my passwords. I checked the thread and it was definitely not from Ebay/Paypal. Good Catch.

On a side note, this guy should do a little more research into his scams. The pics dont look much like "sunny" London to me and the e-mail is "Randy@yahoo"

Some people are too stupid for words.

Good luck in your search. AND, not to hijack the thread but....If anyone has a 40 near Houston TX let me know, I am still in the market!

naturally, zero feedback...

The funny thing is, I got an identical (word for word) message when I inquired about a TDI Jetta...

I hope Ebay catches on...

yup...sounds identical to a UZJ i was considering a month or so ago... Catherine somebody was from new jersey and shipped to UK by way of Lufthansa. Cannot register or meet emmissions so wanted to sell cheap. she/he would not considere $ in escro(Sp) account. name and email no match. offended when i inquired about VIN# and all letters were written from a male perspective. hmmm sketchy. thx for the warning this was through Autotrader and when i contacted them they said they had no record of the vehicle being adveritsed through their company.
