1996 LX 450 for sale

I am thinking about selling my 1996 LX450

Price: $15000
Location: Hubbardston, MA
Vehicle: 1996 LX450 with 128,000miles

It is basically stock, never been off-road.

HG replaced at 90,000 miles (head resurfaced, etc).
Motor is very strong and doesn't use any oil (no need to add oil between 5K oil changes).
Tranny is very strong and doesn't get very hot, even when towing in hot weather.
It has both lockers.
It has a Borla SS exhaust.
All fluids are Amsoil synthetic. Amsoil motor oil replaced every 5K.
Brake pads replaced last summer. Parking brake works as well as the spare tire carrier.

A 2" hitch.
It has tranny temperature gauge, it has several other items put in for towing.
Tires are about a year old.
New battery.
Starter rebuilt with new contacts and new soleniod.
Rear O2 sensor replaced.

Here are the things that need repair:
A/C needs to be repaired. Condensor needs to be replaced (only realized this when the weather got hot).
Small acid burn on rear carpet, but I use Husky cargo liners now (don't let salesmen put batteries with hairline fractures on your carpet).
I have to replace the auto antenna. I have the part, but I haven't replaced it yet.
Front bumper has a scuff mark.

I have 10 Toyota oil filters, Factory Manual, Electric Manual, and various other doodads.

I added a photo that I could find quickly. I will find some more later.

Well, I might sacrifice the gas mileage for a nice 60 or 62. The sleeping room would be nice for the hunting trips.

Wtb Fj60 $1000-$1500

this is for a friend,

Being stock is not important infact modded is better, but it needs to run and the less rust the better!

Please post here or E-mail me ss_storm@sbcglobal.net

So remember the price range is 1000-1500 he is 16 and I wanna start him on cruisers early.

you are smokin crack for that price...needs to up it to around 4-5000 for a decent one that runs and has little rust. plus your out in cali and you need one with it smogged, that'll up the price too

Brett,

There's an '83 FJ40 in the local Houston Truck Trader that has a rebuilt engine, 2 yr old paint, etc. They are asking more than I would want to pay for it, but when I inquired they said that the $13,750 price was negotiable. Color is Tan. I'll forward some pics they sent me on to you. I'm keeping my eyes open for one to replace my old '78 I sold you. Been going through withdrawl ever since. Good luck!

Erik

kbellve,

Can I buy those FSM manuals from you and the toy filters? How much is shipping to 23320? Thanks.

2 Fj40s for sale in BC Canada

I have 2 1974 fj40s for sale. The better of the two has the usual rust around the rear and front fenders, but is mechanically sound with only 80,000 original miles on it. The clutch is fairly new, new rad, brakes all work and the engine runs very well. 2 1/2" springs with 1 1/2" shackles and 31" tires on 16" aluminum rims.

The other cruiser is pretty bagged and doesn't run but still has alot of good parts on it. I would like to get rid of them as a pair but will consider selling individually.

I am a little reluctant to part with my land cruiser as it was my first vehicle and I've had it since I was 16, but I would rather see it go to a good cruiser head. Unfortunately I just don't have the time or money to do a resto on it so I'm selling it to buy a motorcycle.

I don't have any pictures up yet, but I will try to get some posted soon.

I am not interested in selling parts right now so don't ask.

My e-mail address is: richard_karrer@hotmail.com

The land cruisers and I are in Penticton, BC Canada for anyone wanting to come take a look.

Sounds to me like your the one doin that stuff,
There are 60 on these boards all the time that could pass for that price, this emission point is truee though.

Rusty is fune, I said as little rust as possiable (or at leasr ment it)

i would have to agree. i'm also in the market for a 60, and in watching ebay over the past month, there have been just two steals as far as I can tell, both just under 2000. Most are going 4000+, those from cali more like 5500+.
Anyway, good luck at that price.

When ya find one, let me know so I can buy it! :D

If the LX450 doesn't sell, I would like to keep the oil filters and the FSMs.

But, if I do sell it, and the buyer isn't interested, then I would post them for sale.

I will be putting the LX450 on ebay soon...

What would you all pay for?????

Not that it really matters, as I've already agreed on price, but I'm curious as to what you all think.

I just offered 16K for a '97 LC w/ 89K, lockers, and otherwise stock. This thing had all the factory extras, as confirmed by the VIN, but no other mods. Seen pics and it looks real nice, and I also have one of the gurus on this site lined up to check it out. I actually need to contact that person this morning, but I thought I could round up some opinions here in the mean time.

Pictures look real nice.....appears to be about as clean as a car can be w/ 89K, and that will be verified hopefully sooner than later.

for a comparison
I picked up my 98 100 series with 79K, had all factory options (locker, etc), brand new tires, timing belt, water pump, brakes - all new - the truck was a 9 out of 10 in apperance.
$19K

ttt

Another data pt: Bought my 97 from a norcal toyota dealer w/ 67K miles, interior was worse than average, new tires, battery, lockers, body was perfect, got them to throw in new oem floor mats and aftermarket cargo mat, paid $18,200.

I think $16K is fair. Not a steal, but fair.
