Flipping the rear springs?

Why can't Chris just move his rear shackle hangers toward the front of the vehicle and run a longer shackle, isn't this doing basically the same thing ( sure it wouldn't quite get the same droop) but keeping wb in original position.

Now for my question. I can't source any 55 springs but can get 45's Mark how did yours turn out I'm very interested to know.

I can also get Hilux springs I think u guys call them mini trucks. these are about 47" long and 26.5" from shackle to center pin would these work, oh and thats not compressed these measurements were taken off a vehicle.

Thanks Kelvin

How does this effect handling.

My purpose for the flip is longer tail shaft to make space for 5 speed gearbox.

You don't need to do this to put in a 5-speed.
However my opinion is that it vastly improves how these drive, I find they track better at high-speeds and ride quality actually improves. Well worth it especially if you already have body work to

I flipped my rear spring quite some time ago when I went to a center rear output tcase. I'm sure it helped with drivablilty and offroad but nothing earth shattering or real noticeable by my seat of the pants.
