Well, I'm out. I was just told we have a loan syndication meeting on Wednesday and maybe Thursday. No way I can get out of this. I am sorry. Please let me know about registration fees.

I was really stoked about this event and was even going to bring my father and brother along. This wall street financial meltdown has put the banks on notice that they had better do their homework. Now I get to do the dog and pony show for a suit instead of wheel with my friends.

I guess this makes the daylight savings run easier to do.......

As far as I know everyone is on their own for breakfast. If someone wants to organize a group feed that would be great. I'm not sure we are up to all that extra cooking. We want time to wheel too!! Peggy
 
If anyone is bringing kids could they please post immediatley!!! We asked this on the registration form, but don't see any info on the on-line stuff. Can't put together a kids raffle without this info, ages and if boy or girl. Thanks. Peggy
 
So...my wonderful job now may have me working next weekend...more to come. I should know for sure by Tuesday of next week. Question, so I'm paid for the event, if by chance I can't make it, can I transfer my registration to someone else? One of our club members has been in Spain for the last month with his wife and is coming back next Monday, he's thinking that he may attend...let me know please. For those of you who know him, it's good ol' Larry in his Voodoo Blue FJC.

Brutal, just brutal. I have been planning to run the whole length of that stream bed without stopping or backing up. And making you backup with your front wheels turned every chance I could get.:popcorn: I was just noticing the busted marker light from that dead tree after last year still has not been fixed. If the banker meeting is canceled I can last minute it, but I do not think it will happen.
 
Well gang some of you may have noticed my absence…there’s been a few changes in my house this summer and I’ve had to push club stuff towards the back burner. Wifey’s taken a new job and we’ve juggled work schedules so we can keep the kids home. The good news is we didn’t move to nd but we were close. The other good news is I’ve got the kiddos all to myself all weekend every weekend Friday through Sunday. The bad news is I’ve had a hard time juggling all my outside activities so undoubtedly I’ve left some slack that everyone here has been picking up…believe me this summer had flown by.

Friday October 3 I have a conference in Manhattan ks…I need to attend this. That night or the next morning I need to pick up a cruiser carcass out at marc’s place. After that I’m hoping to get on the road down to FN but I’m having reservations about traveling solo with the kiddos that far…I’ll probably show up with two crying puddles in the back and I’ll be the guy in the front pulling his hair out.

Glad to hear that you will be staying here in the midwest. I certainly understand where you are coming from with the kiddos and the long drive. But should you decide to make the trip I'll certainly lend a hand in entertaining the kids while you run off to in the woods to have a DRINK ;-)

But honestly that is a long way to drive for just a day of wheelin'

Cooper and three teen/nearly teenage daughters on an 1100+ mile trip to Florida and only the occasional "Are we there yet?" and "I want to watch this movie now". Toss in an ARB/Engel fridge and the only thing you need to stop for will be bathroom breaks.

I know these well. hannah learned spanish from a certain dvd star. ;p I'm not too worried about her...jake's the one with about a 2 hour carseat threshold.

Alex is looking for a ride from downtown kc on Friday afternoon. Her class gets out at 2:20 so she can be ready to go by 2:30 if you need help with the 2 kiddos in the back seat. She does not want to miss the event but has reservations of driving down by herself.

Movie Screen

I went and picked up my mobile movie screen today from the place that we hosted our event at. I'll be bringing that down as well as my projector, laptop and some kids movies (Disney/Pixar, Cars, etc. and some wheelin vids). If anyone has any movies etc that they'd like to see, please bring them as well.

I don't remember off-hand if there was power in the camping area, so if someone has that info, please let me know, if not I may just bring a small generator down as well.
