Same details as the others, probably same factory......................................

Anyone have an EWD for a 2000? My flasher on the 00 isnt where it was on the 05.

My '99 EWD shows it being behind the dash cluster...

C'mon Guys,
Turn the flasher on and use the touch, listen, feel method!

I found it! ...AND took it off.

Ok. Unless you REALLY WANT to convert to properly working LEDs for turn signals, I would just stay with what you have.

The flasher relay is not quite behind the gauge cluster, but just below it. I had to take off the panel below the steering wheel to gain enough access to remove the flasher from it's plug. The flasher has a metal bracket that it's attached to. That bracket is screwed into a metal support (gold screw in pic). You can see the flasher plug to the left of the metal support.

Took me about an hour altogether.

Next step, buy new flasher for LEDs as well as LEDs themselves.

Banged and scraped knuckles guaranteed.

Thanks Anthony!

K, swapped it. Really easy if you don't have a sliced open thumb(learned my skis are ready for CO the other day, waxing and sharpening before storage is smart). Anyways, one extra long philips #2 driver is all you need. Unbolt/screw it and pull down. Don't have to worry about reinstalling it either, the oem bracket doesn't fit in the chinese one anyways. Just ziptie the harness up out of the way. Tested it by pulling a bulb, still flashes at steady rate. Now it's time to get creative!

Oh I guess I should mention, I inserted the long driver between the steering column and the kick panel...just enough room :D No need to remove anything (except the flasher).

nice Loud.

I installed superbrightled's flasher and amber 7443 (CK) LEDs (rear signals) from V-leds, and flash rate works as expected.

...now shopping for front signals that are bright enough AND durable.

what's with the black pad in front of your right knee? trailer brake? but you don't tow do you?

ah, of course! I figured a guy like you would have it all tricked out in the headliner like Dan! ;)

I have a re-broadcast system that puts the audio to a 100w speaker outside the vehicle...no need for a headliner mounted one :)

I try to mount stuff on cheaper to replace and/or easier parts if I ever change my setup down the line, or the current model I have is no longer available....headliner is neither cheap or easy.
