Glad you found it.

Agree with stuffing something in the crack from both sides, maybe like a Marine grade epoxy, smoothed off on the inside so as not to interfere with the O-rings or the pipe, will likely last years.

The crack would likely benefit from a good cleaning before using the epoxy, maybe a brass "toothbrush" would help along with some supercleaners to remove any build-up of crud??

That's my leading plan. I just cannot justify removing the head to get that off.
The timing chain cover can come off without pulling the head ;)

It can, but it appears that its worse than pulling the head.

That said, I have resolved my issue. I welded the crack. Well, my wallet welded the crack
I want to see pics. Did you remove the cover of have it welded in place?

That was a feat if someone welded that in place.

YOU MUST SHARE! ;)

Welded it in the vehicle, here is a picture of it welded and smoothed out. And yes, i knew it would require a very good tig welder.

This provides hope and help to the next guy this will happen to.

Thanks for posting info about it.

I know I’m bringing one back from the semi dead but thank you. I’m having the exact same issue and have swapped that bypass twice. Looks like I need to source the crack and have it welded.
This is why I love this forum.
