Anyone fab a tire swing-out on an OEM rear bumper of a 60 or 62? Would love to see how it could be done for a potential DIY project.

Would be interesting. I know swing out hinge kits exist. There is a massive moment arm and stress where the swing hinges are welded to bumpers. You would need a stout bracket hidden under/behind the stock sheetmetal bumper to support it. Seems like a cool idea
My HJ60 from Japan had a latch bracket and some holes in the bumper like a previous owner had attempted this with parts from something else, or it was part of a kit. I initially thought maybe it was a factory option, but I couldn't find any info, and found one picture of it, maybe...

Looks like Corsetti figured it out. Apparently it’s around $2k installed. Hoping to DIY but bumper seems way too weak to support.
Yikes at that price point I'd just put up some extra and go with a 4x4Labs dual swing out tow bumper.
As long as you can weld, of course....
