Fj60 rotors

Good aftetnoon all so I saw someone was using fj60 rotors on thier rig when they did SAS. Anyone else did this before.

Lots of us have done this. This is part of a common upgrade for those of us with solid axle trucks. It involves installing:

1" brake master (replacing the 13/16" on the truck)
Installing calipers from a V6 truck. Original have two small pistons, and two large pistons. The V6 calipers have 4 large pistons.
Installing vented rotors from a FJ60. Original rotors are solid and not vented.

Hey Chappy. I just did this. Be careful because the 79 and 80 trucks use the 76-80 rotor not the same as the 60 rotor (mine is a 1980)

You also have to remove or trim the rotor shield.

Can't wait. Still sourcing another set of axles to do a complete rebuild and then just swap out housings
