As far as I can tell, the sealed bearing on the FJ60 distributor shaft was never sold separately. I have a few like-new Koyo sealed bearings from other Toyota non-Land Cruiser distributors that have the same shaft OD. Has anyone disassembled an FJ60 distributor and noted the bearing part number?

Thanks.

I've seen 6201DU here on MUD (@pithicus reply above) and elsewhere, but it shows an ID of 12mm everywhere I look. The FJ60 shaft I've measured is 12.43mm OD, and I've read on other (Honda) forums that there is a hard-to-find 12.5mm X 32mm X10mm sealed bearing. I have another Toyota distributor (non-Land Cruiser of the same vintage) torn down on my workbench - it has a 12.43mm OD shaft as well, and a Koyo sealed bearing 83805, also with an OD of 32mm and a 10mm thickness.

Another MUD member is sending me his trashed FJ60 distributor, so I'll be tearing it down next week.

Thanks for asking.

This thread is OLD AF, but this is something I have had to go down a rabbit hold on today. For the 3FE I was able to order a bearing dimensionally that is what I need to rebuild the distributor. They are on order and I'll let this crazy old thread know!

For as expensive as a Dorman reman distributor was, I'll do what I can to keep my OE unit alive!

I didn't post an update on this thread, but I have 15 or 20 new Toyota sealed shaft bearings that fit the late FJ40/FJ60 distributors.

I've used them on several FJ60 distributor refurbishments. I also used one to replace a destroyed bearing. If anyone's interested I can post a photo of the trashed bearing, it's still on my workbench.

The peanut gallery always wants to see carnage photos!

I just finished pressing a bearing from a used FJ60 distributor, so I can post three photos: undamaged used, trashed, and brand new. While I'm at it I'll plan on installing new shaft bushings and bearings in the used distributor, and finish the refurbishment. I'll have to source additional new Toyota non-Land Cruiser advancers to modify.

@4Cruisers

Thank you very much for posting, J -

When you have a chance, please, if you could measure the ID of that bearing? (unless you know it off hand 😁)

Is it 12.5mm or 16mm?

I'm getting some conflicting cross-reference dimensions.

Thanks again!
