I've stopped selling the latch kit. I can recommend a latch (the same ones I used in my first build that seemed to hold up really well). Would that work?

I bought a double swing arm bumper years ago from @Fourrunner and have been very pleased with the durability. I've had just a few issues with my latches getting lose over rough terrain and am wondering if there is a better way to keep the arms where they don't get loose over time.

My other question is that is there any accessory that you would consider making or recommend that could be bolted somehow where I could put a small cooler or fuel containers on the opposite side of the tire carrier? I've attached a pic of my FJ60 (tan) and a few pics of what I'd like to do. Thanks for any direction.

I've got one complete kit with dual carriers available. Message me if interested.
G’Day Fourrunner,
I’m Shane from Australia just been reading about your rear bar set up.
I must say it’s impressive.
What would be the chances of me getting some drawings so I can make one for my old girl (the 60 that is) as we don’t have anything so simple to make down here and the cost of the factory made one are not worth it
I know I’m asking the world of you as it’s your baby but the cost of getting it from you to me well do I have to say anymore over the top.
It would be for my old girl only and no one’s elses
Kind regards
Shane

Hey fourrunner, can you pm some pricing for the dual swing kit if still available. I'm really interested in replacing my rear bumper on my 88 cruiser. Looking forward to your message. thanks

Tire Carrier Info

The basic tire carrier kit includes the following:
Single (bearing) - one horizontal swingout arm, vertical support for tire carrier, round plate for mounting the tire (correct hole pattern for Toyota, can make other patterns upon request), one 1-3/4" spindles, one bearing kit which include two 2 sets of bearings, seal, cap, castle nut, and cotter pin.
Dual (bearing) - two horizontal swingout arms, vertical support for tire carrier, round plate for mounting the tire (correct hole pattern for Toyota, can make other patterns upon request), two 1-3/4" spindles, two bearing kit which include two 4 sets of bearings, two seals, two caps, two castle nuts, and two cotter pins.

What is not included - no studs or lug nuts for the tire mount, no plastic arm supports (can be seen in the picture below)

Here are some pictures of a single arm setup. This setup uses the same bearing/spindle as the first one I built and what you see here in this thread. I can also provide the bumper with provisions to use a spindle with bronze bushings. They are a cheaper alternative to this setup. Some final welding/grinding/cutting is required.

Parts included with the Tire Carrier Kit (includes two horizontal swing arms and two bearing kits, only one of each pictured).
