No Mark. That one ended up in Ventura.

Redmond, Oregon. 1 owner truck, bought off the lot in Bend 1967. Original paint takes no elbow grease to polish out. The owner; who passed away a couple years ago, called it Blue Bird. I look at it and want to call it 8-track.

Very nice Tom! Does it run? Before you tear apart and put 37's on it, try to make the 45 Run in September. It's a good time for sure!

I am keeping this one as is. I think I'm digging 3 on the tree. And I would love do the 45 run......

Nice to meet you. Sorry I was so uptight. My new working M.O. just isn't taking well to unannounced visits. I wouldn't have put two and two together either if it hadn't been for Tommy's posting bringing me back to this old thread. Now I will remember.

No worries, Mark. We all have our "days," myself included. It was nice to put a face to the page, in spite of the circumstances.

This old picture popped up in my memories. I found it in South Louisiana and shipped it to California. I sure wish I had it back. Any idea what happened to it?

And now a resident of the New Jersey Shore. I'll fill in the Build Thread with additional Info.

Better take that visor off - it may slow you down a bit.

 Good one FJ. That visor has been an interesting topic at times. I did some research a while back and I believe it was actually an option in some of the overseas markets. Found a few pics of mostly Australian rigs with the same visor on various models. I’ve already had it Refinished.

One owner, bought new at Wheeler Toyota in Grants Pass, Oregon still all original and plan on keeping it that way.

Titled November 1967

Sweet!

Most of these rigs were "titled" a year after production. They took a while to get here after production and many sat on lots for up to a year or longer for various reasons.

From what I understand, dealers screwed the little round brass tag onto the corner of the vin plate most likely to meet some licensing law. ( a 1965 model with a round brass tag T-66) From what I've seen, all or most are brass tags and the 1967's are aluminum for some reason.

Every FJ45 that I have bought has had an incorrect tittle. They all have a vin on the title starting out with T-66 or T-67 the the vin. Like : T66FJ4529994. This really isn't correct and could be issue down the road. The frame is stamped FJ4529994 as an example and so is the vin tag.

With a little education at Oregon DMV and an onsite inspection, I was able to point out the problem and get all my titles fixed.

Sorry for the long rambling but thought this could help others.

Mark
