Good info. Template?....cardboard? paper? Would three dimensions and a thickness be enough?

Yes definitely an option, but considerably thicker than the original tempered from what I was told.

Thank you!
Not sure if measurment and a radius would be enough. I used a piece of wall paneling for a template. Just make sure to tell them to make it the same size as the template, because the only problem I had was on the first one they must of just drew a line around the template so the piece they gave me was slightly larger than my template and they had to do it over again. You would have to tell them the thickness. I'll be able to measure one of mine tomorrow and l'll let you know what it is.

Might consider taking the top in, and leaving it and have them install it also.
That way u know it will fit.

Mine is 4mm thick

Measured the rear window (have 2 and they are identical) 44 1/4 x 12 1/4 and roughly a 2" radius.

Whitey...are you sure about the 44.250 number? The ratio doesn't agree with the photo and numbers from the slider thread...see photo. I found a place that will make tempered with Height, Width, Thickness, Radius. I just need to give them as precise a measurements as possible down to the 1/16 of an inch. I don't have an OEM piece to measure.

I have a rear flat glass out of a 1977 FJ45 "Not for sale." I took some measurements with pictures.

Length measures 44 5/16 inches
Width measures 12 5/16 inches
Thickness is just a fraction over 1/8 of an inch

I hope this helps. I traced the radius and then boxed it a 2" square. The rest of the measurements should be self explanatory but if not ask and I can clarify. All the corners are the same on my glass.

Hope this helps

My glass is from 1965 vintage, seems the measurements are all different? Not sure if late model, 77 thru 84 45 rear glass was different, but there is wiggle room with the weatherstrip.

This helped a lot, thank you. I will post here how my glass order turns out.

I don't think a 1/16 difference would be considered different. From what I understand +/- 1/16 is normal in the production of tempered glass. I wasn't sure about the numbers you gave me because of the numbers in the slider thread. With the 2nd numbers from Tank5 that are almost identical to yours I am comfortable they are accurate. Also now have accurate radius numbers (which seem almost the same as the 2" you gave me). Someone posted earlier that the glass is 4mm thick (.157"). After measuring other 70s LC tempered glass as well as the thickness of my curved 45 glass, it appears the number is more like .195 inches, so 3/16 is better for the new order than something thinner. I will post here how my glass order turns out.

That is a lot nicer than my cardboard sketch. Nice work yotamotive.

Couldn't have done it without your sketch! I wanted to use your .75 dimension and let it drive the tangent point (the 1.811 dimension). The tangent point is harder to see and measure than the .75 number so I let that drive the others. 1.8125 rad is what I am ordering. Thanks again.

Score, that is a great price for glass!

This is really cool.

This is really cool.

Flat glass was on my radar as a product offering but after seeing that price and simplicity, I wouldn't even touch it. That's just rocking.

Still a no-go on corner glass for fj45s? Wonder if this place could possibly do corner glass for everyone that needs it?
