Winch

So the next thing I will be fixing is the winch due to the last outing. This is to make sure it is going to work the next time we need it. So here are the parts. First is solenoid pack, remote, Brake rebuild, and clutch. This is the new 5 pin setup

No I didn't even look at that solenoid, I was more going for the 5pin remote which by the way when you order the solenoid pack it comes with it. It wasn't cheap by no means but it should work and a lot less wiring just bolt on and go. As for the shackle I used I think it is 3 inch c to c, I'll measure on weekend and let you know.

Nope but I also dont push it as hard as you, I fill I slight lift in rear when I hit it, but that is it. Why, should I? Hope fully some time down the road I 'll be changing the rear to a 4link system with coil overs would be the ultimate, but the tub is first.

some more bling parts.. how far does it space it off the transfer case...

So I finally got the winch back together, took the cases down to BLAST IT. The brake was the hard part, had to put winch on side and lay bearings in and compress spring then put spring clip on shaft. Gave it a coat of grey paint then bought a cover. One thing I learned on this, is don't silicon motor to housing it will hold moisture.

Here are some pics of the toyota drive shaft that I got made. I put the brake disk on but the bracket hits the drop in the bed for the gas tank, so I have ordered the extended range tank cause it is flat on the bottom and then I can make room in body, I have to replace the tank anyways.
