So recently I had been looking for an FJ60 in the southeast area, however I realized that I really didn't need that type of a vehicle.

I am looking for a 1966 - 1972 FJ40. Something that doesn't have too much rust (some is expected), in driving condition, hard top in decent shape (possibly needing a new paint job or a little work), rather have the the front bench seats over the buckets, and would prefer a Cruiser that isn't all hacked up..

Looking to spend roughly $4000 - $4500 on the vehicle, however I know I'll have to invest much more to fix it up..

If not in the South East, I would consider buying and shipping, but would like to keep the total purchase in my budget.

Send me a PM or email (mminton@Clemson.edu) if you have something similar to what I'm looking for.
Thanks!

Anyone have any type of leads for one? I realize it's the summer and a lot of people aren't selling their Cruisers due to the fact it is always nice to go cruising around in their 40..

Also, willing to travel for a nicer one if needed....

There's one on Craigslist in WNC. The guy says it was restored from the frame up. I posted a thread about it. Good luck!

FJ40

Hey I've got a project 40 that i'd been working on for a while. Heading in another direction so i'm looking to part with her. It's a 77 fiberglass tub aluminum fenders no rust. Frame has very little surface rust. Currently no motor but I do have a strong 85 2f from a donor 60. No hard top no doors. shackle reversal in the front 2 1/2" lift springs on 33's custom front bumper and sliders. I'm looking for 3500. Give me a call if your interested. Located in PA but I run to florida quite a bit so shipping could be arranged easily.Dan610 360 9549

Hey 77landsitter, thanks for the info on your Cruiser, but I'm looking more for a 72 and earlier model. I'm not too big on the bucket seats that come in the 73+ models, also the round tail lights and reflectors.

Bryan89, I appreciate the info on those two! Just e-mailed the one in Camden. It's a bit more of a project than I'm looking for, but you never know.. Could be a good rig to go bomb around Clemson in..
Always good to hear from fellow Tiger!! Thanks!

Thanks JP,
I've looked at that one a few times, but I had trouble trying to find shipping companies that ship out of Montana... It's rather expensive from what I have found.

Thought I found one, but the seller didn't want to inform me that shipping was going to be more than he thought and never came back to me to tell me.
Still Looking.
Willing to have it shipped across country if necessary

There is a '77 available in Ft. Myers, Fl. Have ~$8000 invested, but can negotiate. Less than 1K miles on overhauled engine. Running gear in good shape. Was a daily driver until I retired. Now working on body rust on side panels and rocker panels, rear sill replacement.

Sounds like a pretty good deal, however I am not a huge fan of the bucket seats.. And I would rather not have to make the old seats w/ the tool box under the driver seat fit into a newer one. I'd rather keep the Cruiser as original as possible...
