So you yank out the harness on the drivers bucket and then slice the new harness in 1/2.

Back feed the new wires through the rubber grommet.

Shorten the wires

Then take the plug you yanked out of the drivers side and make it the “main” plug by connecting it to the fender bar corresponding your colors.

Lastly you take your 3 wires coming out of the passenger bucket. You can put spades on the red/yellow and red/green and black/while and shove them into the new plug. Or you can get a used male plug and splice it in.

Sorry for the ignorant question but how would I find out if there is an equivalent option for 24v headlight replacement?

Was able to order the Toyota headlight assembly from a Toyota dealer for less than $20. Appreciate everyone’s knowledge sharing here. It’s an early 40 so will have to modify install a bit.

installed mine the other day on my 79'...took a couple of weeks to show but they eventually did just after Christmas. has anyone fitted a guard to the front of the Koito glass?

i tried. mine dont fit. i might be able to make some spacers to make the clips protrude a little more but i don t know if it’s worth the effort. afterall the kit is only $30 if i break a light housing
