Could someone please tell me what the PSI would be for that little check valve that is between the fuel separator and the hard line that goes to the charcoal canister? I would like to get an aftermarket that matches it since mine doesn't have one like it should. It's for a 78 fj40. Thank you.

Toyota still has these Check Valves, but they are proud of them and quite the coin. I ordered one for my '77 part number 90917-10020.

Under the fuel filler hose / vapor separator guard.

Doesn't show up on the '78 diagram, but it's shown here on the later tank diagram as #40.

Where does that part reside? I had thought that the '78 used only the electric valve after the charcoal can. I'd don't think I've ever seen that part. My '78 is _very_ original.

Mine is still there, but I can blow through it both ways--it's a little harder to blow back to the tank(fuel sep) than into the canister. I'm sure that doesn't mean much--for all I know, it could be in backwards. But when I got the truck, the valve rounded end was connected to the canister--sorry, I have no pressure readings for you--

Does someone know the direction of the check valve? Meaning is the flow towards the separator or towards the purge line? I'm asking because I'm not sure if it's for eliminating air/fuel fumes going in or out
