So I have had my 40 for years now and none of the dash lights that are not in the cluster have ever lit up... So is someone able to tell me what these 4 lights are supposed to do? (see pic).

Also, can anyone recommend a book or manual with a really good wiring diagram for years '71/'72? I have a 9/'70 production cruiser so it seems I have mish-mash of the two years

Thanks in advance.

So there are 2 sets of turn signals? There are already turn signals in the cluster. Seems weird.
looks like a newer cluster- probably unhooked the dash indicators to hook up to the gauge cluster.

1 and 4 are brakes and 4wd.

7/72 here. #1 should be red lens Brake(s) warning - fluid pressure in brake master is different - like perhaps you have a leak in a cylinder. Might also indicate parking break is set when key is on. #2,3 green lens Turn Signal and hazard Blink if working correctly when activated, Steady activated indicates a bulb is out on that side. #4 might be a vacuum transfer engagement indicator. No signal in cluster, but has 2 gauge lights and a blue High Beams lens.

#4 is the FD (4wd indicator) vacuum actuated
