How long are the stock FJ40 drive/propeller shafts(5/1977)?

I removed a shackle reversal from my 5/1977 FJ40 and installed an OME suspension kit. It appears the drive shaft is now too long. I'm guessing I will need to find a stock drive shaft.

Easiest solution is to take your driveshaft to a local DS place and have it shortened. Measure the distance between the two flanges and give that data to them.

That'll get you a nicely balanced, rebuilt driveshaft that will last for years.

BTW, only use Toyota joints, they are considerably stronger than the other replacement options out there (including Spicer).

if 1 is too long is the other too short?
who's shackle reversal?

An Advanced Handling shackle reversal was previously installed.

IIRCC that setup did not require driveshaft mods. the minor lift was minimal on the driveshaft, even the rear with the extended shackles.

If you added a lift with the new suspension that is different.
