Like the Plate Install!! I would have thought you would have removed the masking after installing but seeing where your at with the build I can understand leaving the masking on to protect the plate.

Well, I figured if I am ever going to finish this thing I might want to actually learn something about Rock Crawling, so I ventured out to Las Vegas this past weekend and found one of the best in the business to show me the basics. Tim from LVRC gave us a first rate experience in Rock Crawling. Headed out to Valley of Fire and experienced some nice technical lines as well as messing around in the sand dunes.

Without berating Tim with questions about where we were (exactly) and what we were doing, I did manage to gather that we did Bronco Falls - 8 Rating (so aptly named after a Ford Bronco that did and end over while trying to come down it), and Shedder Trail - 7 Rating (named for all of the parts that rigs "shed" going through it.

We started out at Las Vegas Rock Crawlers near the Rio Casino off of Highway 15 and headed about 54 miles Northeast up the 15 to the Valley of Fire State Park.

Once we got close we deflated the tires to around 12-15 PSI and disengaged the stabilizers so we get get to it.

He started us out on some light trails just to get us comfortable with the vehicles and the overall performance. I was quickly impressed with the amount of travel these rigs had. Those are 40" Toyo Tires and they easily have that much travel in them...as you will see.

As well approached on of the first technical trails, he has us stop and walk the rocks for our first (of many) driver's meetings. He explained what our obstacles were and where we wanted our tires to be as well as walk us through the overall approach to the obstacle in front of us.

Taking nothing away from myself or my fellow driver's, it was quickly apparent that if there were any weak links it was us novice driver's and not these rigs or Tim's complete and utter trust and understanding of the capability that he has built into these rigs.

Although these are beautiful pictures, I soon realized that these were not doing this trip the justice it deserved, so I started taking videos to get the full effect.
This was Tim's first run to kind of give us a clue about what we were getting into.
