Is he bringing the BBQ to cook us lunch?

Kevin was this a joke?

If there really is a possibility of a BBQ I would be willing to bring a cooler full of fish for people to eat. My room mates up here in Wa are all comercial fishermen and i scored about 15lbs of salmon, code, and rock fish.

anyways just a thought, ill be on the road today and tomarrow but ill check here before the run on sat.

They cooked dinner one night at Moab, it was a smashing success, they had to run to the store for more grub! But I don't think that's part of the smaller runs, so bring lunch and lots of water.

Cool! What's the meeting point and time for the PHX caravan?

Is there an established meeting time and place already desigtnated?

I was wondering the same thing ^^^^^ I was thinking 7:45 at Carefree HWY exit....what do you think??

FYI:

The Circle K in Mayer doesn't have enough parking for a large group. Please don't clog up the store lot.

There is a Dollar store across the street - the road in front of it should provide enough space for a group to park.

Thanks

Mark

How about meeting at the Chevron gas station east of I-17 on Carefree highway? It's what 50 miles to Mayer, so we need to be ON THE ROAD by 8AM. The gas station has a mini market and there is a Mickey Dee's next door, get there early if you plan on shopping/eating.:D

Sounds good... you know that's a pretty good idea, a pre-meeting area...

BTW... I'd love to get my neighbor with the BJ70 to come along... probably not but I can dream...

The public is reminded that day-use and developed recreation sites forest wide will remain open. Sounds great.....I will be there. Also, I had my copilot opt out on me for work reasons, so I have an empty seat W / AC if there is anyone out there who is needing one......

I might try to make this, I have been out of town the past few weekends and need to do some stuff but this is very tempting.

I'll be monitoring CB channel 8 for those with radios.

May I suggest that we air down in Mayer prior to heading out Goodwin Road? We have 14 miles of dirt to reach the Senator Hyw, roughly another 4 miles to FS 89, then a short trip to the trail head. We'll save some time by being trail ready - it's gonna be a long day as it is.

Please bring a pair of gloves to assist with any rock stackin'/unstackin' that is required!
