It is an extremely well built bumper, I wouldn’t hesitate to hit something with it over a pos arb! Dom tubing and thick main plate/winch plate. Bolts in and come with good quality hardware, took all of 1 minute to install. I think it looks good, but not as good as the bumper i just started building.

If you want a light tube bumper offering excellent approach angke and AC dryer protection check out Metal Tech’s tube bumper.

I’ve had the small stnger version four years now.

I went with BIO as well. Mike's the man.

The bumper does stick out and I certainly hit it on things, but I have won against every rock that I have faced off against. The reality is that I hit the front of the control arms a heck of a lot more than the bumper. For the cost, I love it!

It does stick out, but not as far as it looks. I live in Chicago. I parallel park a lot and my parking garage is super tight. Front corners are non existant. It's rediculous how close I can get. Obviously this goes 10x for wheeling.

That's not as bad as I thought. I see they did that to get the winch on top of the rails. Thanks for posting that.

I had a buddy weld some plates on the top and some light tabs on the bottom. At 1/3 the cost of some other front bumpers, can’t beat this deal. When I paint the whole car, I plan on painting the bumper same color to match also.

The factory bumper works well...

I came up with a scheme to chop a couple inches out of the TG bumper and weld it back together to take out some of the unnecessary "sticking out-ness," but probably not worth the work for the price differential between the BIOR tube bumper (in CO, so no shipping cost for me).

I have no problem with TG for this type of stuff. I have used their cheapy sliders with good results.

Now contemplating front mount intercooler options again, so I will likely make my own when the time comes.
Any pics of how you shortened it?

I agree it sticks out further then others but there's a plus and minus to everything in this world. It allows a wide range of winches to be installed including my old XD9000i which a lot of the other bumpers o looked at couldn't fit. It also sticks out more because it puts the winch more high and in front instead of lower and tucked in which keeps it out of the deep water and mud more. Since I've never had an issue with it actually hitting enough to cause an issue on any obstacles I've come across makes it somewhat of a plus when you're in the deep slop.
